POFQ room location?

Have looked through the POFQ threads, but did not find this info.

Does anyone know which buildings or rooms would face the fountain? Also, which buildings are now smoking- want to be sure NOT to request a smoking building due to family allergies? I've read that it might have changed since renovations.

I can not answer your question about the fountains, but I know that part of building 2 is smoking. My mother and sister were in room 2317(I think) I know it was the third floor and it was smoking, most of the rooms on the third floor seemed to be designated for smoking. Part of building 2 faced a quiet courtyard and the other side faced the pool area.
We were in building 3 which was non smoking. I think our room was 3110 and we faced a courtyard, but no fountain.

I'm a little confused - I get that way easily was building 3 non-smoking or part of building 2?

It is not you that is confused, but me, I got my self all mixed up in my post.

Building 2 was partially smoking, building 3 was non smoking. I fixed my original post.

Part of Building 3 faced a very pretty fountain. I believe 1 also does as does 2.

The CM we talked to called it the Forrest Gump fountain.

Very peaceful and relaxing.

Thank you SO much!!!!! Now I'll know what to request! For some reason that fountain appeals to me and looks so pretty!

I'm sure it can be seen from several rooms so should be an fairly easy request.

helenk - thank you for letting me know about building 3 being non-smoking! Think I'm set now!

Last time I stayed at POFQ (June of 04) I was in building 4, Room 4141. It was right across "the street" facing the fountain on the ground floor. Non-smoking. Fabulous location, a one minute walk to the food court.

Sorry, I don't know what other buildings are non-smoking.

That is good to know becasue I'd read that building 4 was smoking now, but it was not all smoking in 2001 becasue we stayed there in a non-smoking room.
