Just completed our first ever trip to WDW which included a 5 night stay at POFQ. I was a little nervous ahead of time due to some negative reports I read here, but I was overall quite impressed with the resort overall, and would stay there again.
We loved the room. Double beds with extra length was great for DH who is 6'2''. The courtained off area was great for us for changing and shielding some light to get stuff ready for the next day without having all the room lights on after dd went to bed. Mousekeeping was great. Towels arranged in nice patterns and dd's stuffed toys and blanket arranged in neat ways every day. Very nice grounds, very pretty and very nice walking around in the evenings after dark by the river. We had a river view room which was very nice. Great pool and hot tub was working fine, although we never used it.
I did think the grass was just a tad long, but not a big deal. some trash left ouside rooms (not ours) one day after mousekeeping was finished, picked up later when we returned from dinner. We were in bldg. 6, which was sometimes a hike, but fine, but the room where the ice machine and vending machines was kept stunk pretty bad, so I had to have dd hold the door open every day while filling our water bottles with ice for the day.
Food court was ok, but not great. In comparison to everywhere else we ate, service was kind of slow, and quality wasn't as good as we got elsewhere.
Service elsewhere in the resort though was absolutely wonderful. Overall, we would definately stay at FQ again if we had the opportunity!
