Anyone know the latest on the reopening of POFQ. We are booked for March (I believe we booked this past year just before they "closed" bookings for it). In fact, one CM said we are the only ones she sees booked during that time period at all for POFQ. Anyway, we called a month ago to Disney relocation and they said "they are working out the details and we should get a call soon about relocating". So, I called again this week since we hadn't heard (and she had said it should probably be a couple of weeks and we hadn't heard). They called back yesterday (but I was out and my husband answered and he doesn't ask nearly enough questions!!) and he said they said they are only relocating people up through January for now, everyone after that they are keeping booked FOR NOW. So, my question is, we REALLY were hoping to upgrade to WL, the CM made it sound like we were definitely going to get a relocation call, so we kind of got our heart set on WL. Do I wait and hope to get a "call" to relocate (the CM said the deals are "great" when they ask you relocate, like $10 more a night for a deluxe). Or, do we cancel POFQ and switch to WL anyway?

Anyone have any reliable information on the reopening of POFQ?

sorry this is the wrong board - you need the Disney resort board - I am sure someone will come along shortly and move this to the right place.

good luck!!!

if you want WL then I would wait a little longer - but if you haven't heard anything at the end of January - I would definitely just bit the bullet and go with WL.

although I would be very tempted to stay at POFQ - it should be GREAT!!!

I just got back from my vacation to PORS. I have heard from CM's while there that POFQ probably wouldn't be ready until late spring or summer. The area of FQ closest to the Riverside area had new mattresses going in them while I was there. As we went down Sassagoula River to DTD you could see that many of the rooms were completely empty and were either freshly painted or prepping to paint. I would attempt to wait for the Disney relocation team to call you. If you haven't heard from them by about 45/30 days before your trip, then call them to see what is up.

I definitely wouldn't switch the ressie myself. Wait and if they do move you they may give you an upgrade.

I would definitely wait. We were some of the first to get relocated when they started the refurbishment. We got POLY for only $30 more a night. We already had a discounted rate so it came to only $124 a night for POLY. Good luck.

I would wait a few weeks and then call and ask if they are to your upgrades yet. We were upgraded to AKL savannah for $134/night.
Oh, I hope POFQ reopens by summer so it will be open for our Oct. or Nov. trip!!!

I agree with everyone else who said to wait for them to call you. I have not heard when they are reopening POFQ, sorry. Good luck I hope you get that call soon!!
