POFQ question

We will be staying at POFQ from Jan 19th-Jan27th(POR was our first choice but it is all sold out :-( ) Is there any particular building/room that is a favorite as regards to proximity to pools, food courts etc ?? We will be travelling with our 6 and 4 year old boys !

Also is there an onsite laundry room at POFQ. I did a search but did not come up with anything...

The laundry room is by the hot tub. POFQ is a nice sized resort so even though you have buildings right by some of those things it is not a long walk anywhere. If you have a car #1 is the best. there is a resort map at www.allearsnet.com. And walking the resort is so relaxing.

The resort is very small, I have stayed in the far corner of building one and also the far corner of building 6 and rooms in between and the walk to the food court was only a few mins from any spot, as for the pool, that will be closed when you are there so if you want to swim you will have to go over to POR, it's not a far walk less than 10 mins. FQ is my favorite resort due to the size, have a good time.

We loved POFQ. We purposely stayed there due to its smaller size since we have 2 little ones. We were in building 5, which was very convenient. The only change I would have made was to request a first floor room, as the elevators are few and far between and it was a hike with a stroller.

Thanks for all your replies !! I was not aware the POFQ pool would be closed then..Is there a reason ??

I was in building 2-a former smoking building but I didn't smell it. It's right near the boat stop, which might be nice if you think you'll be boating to the POR pool. Plus, I could see part of Wishes from my room.

the pool is closed from January til the middle of March for a rehab. they just started telling people about it a few weeks ago.

Thank you for the beautiful map! I personally requested either bldg. 3 or 4, due to the fact that we have small kids that won't be in strollers, and will be so tired of walking.

I didn't know that. Is that the closest building to the parking lot? We are going to have a rental car with us. We were going to ask for building 3 because of the proximity to the food court for morning breakfast runs and the playground. Maybe we should switch?

We always request building 4. It's closest to the food court, bus stops and parking. I dont' think there is a bad location at this resort. It's small so your always close to everything. Have a great time!
