POFQ, POR, or elsewhere?

I'm planning a super-quick 3 night stay arriving Sunday 11/13 checking out on Wednesday 11/16. It will be myself and DD12. We are going to the MVMCP on Tuesday 11/15. We will be using MDE for the first time and relying on Disney busses for transport to/from the party. I am considering POFQ or POR for our stay. On Monday we are planning on hanging at the pool/resort and taking the boat to DS in the late afternoon for a dinner at Raglan Road and some shopping. On Tuesday, we will hang out at the resort and take the bus over to the Poly around 1:30 to eat and get a Dole whip float and wander the grounds. Then over to the party and staying until the end (if we can make it)! I did the party for the first time last year with a friend and told DD I would take her this year. Not sure if we should consider anywhere else and would love any input. We stayed at WL last year and loved it but it is a construction zone now and not available anyways. The $200ish per night price of the mods is definitely fitting our budget. Thoughts?
PS. If there are any room-only fall discounts are they usually available at either POFQ or POR? And when are these types of discounts generally released? I'm not booking until I can secure my flights on SW. November dates have not been released as of now. Thank you!!!

I would recommend POFQ. It is nice and cozy and easy to get to the buses.

But I were you, for a super-quick 3 night trip, I would do Pop Century. It is a value resort. But for a quick vacay and only 2 people, it feels just fine, and saves you quite a bit of money. The only down side is no boats to DS.

We just stayed at CBR. Hated it. Too big and the many bus stops are just too time-consuming. Would never return.

I would stay anywhere else. POR and POFQ were not for us. POR felt way too big as well and had many bus stops. For a quick stay, I would stay at a value if you are on a budget, we prefer the All Star Movies.

POFQ would be perfect! One bus stop--and it's covered. Wonderful transportation! Small, quiet, quaint. You do have the boat to DS. You may not get the discount though.

If you're looking to save money, though, go with one of the All Stars. They're much smaller than Pop and would be fine for just the two of you.

I have stayed at all the values, CBR, POFQ and Beach Club (also Poly loved it but it was decades ago) Loved POFQ would stay there again anytime. Well worth it for a couples weekend. DH and I were sad when we left for Beach Club for the second half of our split stay.

Thanks all! I should have mentioned I'm so not into the value resorts-- too big and spread out. POFQ is prob the way we'll go since it sounds like POR is big like the values. Of course, will have to wait and see what is available when I book. :)

Another vote for POFQ. The small size and bus routes should work well for your quick trip. The boat to DS is also fun and relaxing.

If being compact is a big priority, I would pick POFQ. It sounds like the other moderate resorts would be too spread out for your taste.

I've stayed at POFQ. It was nice. The Mardi Gras theme is tacky to me, but that's personal preference (and you only really see it at the pool and food court). The underlying French Quarter/New Orleans theme is very pretty. They did a nice job with the architecture and landscaping.

Nothing is a long walk, no matter your room location, which is great. We had good experiences at the food court. Only having one bus stop is also nice. The pool isn't amazing, but it's definitely a nice pool. Having the boat to Disney Springs is great. Much nicer than having to take a bus.

I hope you enjoy your trip!

We love POFQ. We try others, too, but it's always the one we return to. The pool and food court are much better at POR though. Fortunately it's just a quick walk from POFQ and pool hopping is allowed between the two resorts.

I love both POR and POFQ, but since you think the values are spread out, POR is really spread out. So I would definitely go with POFQ. It is so nice and a very small resort. No matter where your room is, it is not a far walk to anything. Love the boats to Disney Springs too!
