I love the amount of light we can get in a corner room at POFQ/ POR, and for our next visit I think we might stay here and request a corner room. Are most corner rooms King beds? Which resort would we have a better chance at getting a corner room at? We usually go deluxe with a balcony but want to save our pennies and I think this would reduce the claustrophobic feel of a moderate room. TIA!

I stayed in a corner room with two queen beds at POFQ a few years ago. Not sure about POR.

Corner rooms are limited (obviously :-) ) Whichever resort you choose it would be a request. You may or may not be able to get this request. The room assigners may not even know which rooms are corner rooms. I certainly wouldn't count on it

I too love the lighter room. Not sure which resort would have more but POR is certainly larger.
That being said I'd Only do a POR Preferred room for the same reason. Too big to be way out there at POR..
I'd do POFQ and request corner. Best of luck!

Funny story. Last June (2016) I stayed at POFQ and requested a 2nd floor corner room (for the extra windows) with two beds. We got it. I laughed all week, because although it was a corner room it did NOT have the extra windows. I can't remember which building, I think it was Building 5. Not facing the pool, but the other side.

We were at POR last June in a Royal Room, and we had a first floor corner room. I don't remember if I requested it or not. I know I didn't send in a fax or anything like that, but if it's one of the options during online check-in I might have picked it.

Same thing happened to us at CSR! We had a ground floor corner room, but no extra window. We did get a corner room at CBR, and it did have an extra window. Both times, we had king rooms. OP, Touring Plans has a room finder feature that shows you what the different room types are. Most of the corner rooms are Kings but you can search more to see if there's a building or two where that may not be the case.
