POFQ pool v. WL pool - a question

DD and I stayed at WL in October 2008 and I was sorta surprised at how small the pool was at a delux resort. Am toying with the idea of planning a trip for this October and DD is in love with the pink dragon slide at POFQ so that's where we'll probably stay. Is the pool at POFQ bigger than at WL? And by bigger, I mean the pool AND the area around it, seating, etc.

The size of the pool is in relation to the number of rooms. WL is the smallest resort on property, so it should have the smallest pool. POR is huge, so the pool s/be larger.

thx, but I'm looking for info about the FRENCH QUARTER pool, not Riverside. the one with the pink dragon slide. i know FQ is a smaller resort also, but I just would like some comparison between WL & FQ if there is someone who has stayed at both.

I've been to both and honestly, the POFQ pool does seem a bit larger to me. It also has quite a bit of room for chairs; including an upper, quiet level.

The pool at French Quarter is not very big, but neither is POFQ. I think it's the smallest of the moderates.

I was going to say the opposite, that POFQ's pool was smaller than WL, but I think that's more because the area around the pool at WL is larger ... it looks out on to Bay Lake whereas POFQ's is mostly hemmed in by buildings, and of course bisected by the slide. But it's been almost 12 years since I stayed at WL.

To me, the POFQ pool looks a tiny bit larger on Google Maps--actually it looks like they're both the same width at the widest point, but the POFQ is closer to being circular whereas the WL pool is sort of teardrop-shaped.

We've stayed at neither, but we did go to the POFQ pool when we stayed at POR. We've also been to WL and checked out the pool. The POFQ pool and pool area seemed spacious enough when we were there.

I've heard others on here comment about the size of the WL pool and I guess I didn't feel it was really large. Perhaps this perception is because it is surrounded on three sides by the tall lodge building? Just a guess.

Don't forget, you can hop on the boat and go to the POR pool when you stay at POFQ.

my family and I have always stayed at a value resort and have been happy with everything except the pool... do the moderate resort poll areas have pool service. What I mean is are towels available at the pool? At the value we have always had to take our towels from the room. Are there cocktail waitresses or just a walk up bar?

We have stayed at both and I would say that the main pool area at POFQ does appear to be larger then at the WL.

There is an area to get towels at POFQ by the pool. We stayed at both resorts. The pool itself did seem bigger than the one at WL. We enjoyed both pools, but we did stay at WL in Jan, so the pool wasn't that crowded. But, we also enjoyed the pool and pool area at FQ!

I just came back from a stay 12/31-1/8 at pofq & we lived the pool it was so nice & yes there are towels down there really nice ones too lol! The slide was so much fun but you could swim in other areas plus the hot tubwas pretty close by
