POFQ pool closed during our stay

Just learned that the POFQ pool is closed from end of January to March 15. Of course we are there March 10-16. It is our first stay at a Mod and the kids were very much looking forward to the pool and slide.

Question, we can use the POR pool right? How far of a walk is it?

Yes you can use their pool. It's quite a long walk, you would be better off to take the boat that runs between the two resorts. It's about a 5 minute boat ride.

I am also dissappointed with Disney closing pools at 2 moderates during the same time....it's really too bad. We had wanted CBR but choose POR because of the pool closure at CBR and now the pool at FQ will be closed also.....I had spoken to our family about using both pools and the kids were so excited about the FQ pool......I might switch over to CSR yet.

This is really annoying. Unless something was wrong with the pool, they really should have given us more notice. How can you announce a closing less then two months out???

I choose POFQ for our Jan 26-Feb 2 trip because of the pool and the dragon slide. With CBR they announced the closure way ahead of time so you could factor that in. This is very upsetting.

I distinctly remember readnig that a shuttle bus would be available from POFQ to POR for FQ guests wanting to use the other pool.
