DH and I have a short 3 night stay in December and I wanted to shift the dates (had to call to modify- it’s a BB offer). A great CM gave me so many options I’m conflicted what to choose. Originally I thought to switch to FQ (from BWI) since we have start there 3 times and have BWV scheduled for September (if that happens).

POFQ is approximately $800 cheaper give or take than the rest which are all within $100 of each other. So what would you choose? POFQ? Or...

AKL - savannah view
BWI - garden view
BCV - deluxe studio pool/woods view
YC - garden/woods view
Poly - standard view

I would pick based on what you plan on doing during the trip. Will you be in the parks all day? Will you mostly just relax at your resort? For a 3 night all day park trip I would book POFQ. If you are planning on spending more time at the resort I’d consider one of the deluxe options.

I agree with JenBush, it really depends on your plans and if that $800 is needed. While I'm not a fan of POFQ, it's actually my least favorite moderate, for that short of a trip, I'd probably save the $800.

We typically go to parks early then come back and chill then go out again late afternoon or evening. But it’s December do not planning on any pool time, just rest. I know the deluxes are easier to park hop to/from but $800 is a lot of uber rides! And we do enjoy Disney springs...

If you plan to be at the parks all day, POFQ. If you want mostly resort time and don’t plan to be in parks much, AKL. If you’re going for a balance between the two, I would go for whichever of the Crescent Lake resorts you prefer. The reason I give them the edge over the Poly for you is the time of year you’re going, Festival of the Holidays at Epcot means you’ll probably want to spend more time there. Also MK will be closing early a lot for parties.

Don’t let people try to tell you it’s not worth it to stay Deluxe with only 3 nights, btw. I did 3 at BC last year for a long F&W weekend and it was absolutely perfect. With limited time the ability to walk to World Showcase was 100% worth it.

Taking into account that you plan to visit DS (short boat ride), not much pool time AND the $800; French Quarter no brained. Especially since it is only a quick trip and sounds like not much room time. We actually enjoyed FQ, it is small, intimate and romantic. Enjoy!

Since you updated while I was replying, I would say POFQ with the caveat that you really want to take Lyfts to get to a park any time after rope drop, especially midday and late afternoon. That's when buses tend to share and you might end up rolling all over POR. It drove me insane when I stayed there last year and after 2 days of that it was all Lyft all the time lol. But the good news is you should be able to avoid the issues I had with the DS boat given the time of year you'll be there (it was running exactly twice when I wanted to go to DS due to storms, and both times I had to bus back, but that was in August).

I’d pick POFQ. I like both the POR resorts and while you may not go to the pool, they have a nice large hot tub. We like building 4, close to everything.

At POFQ they had a river view and pool view available. I was thinking bldg 4 - I’d prefer to be close to the main building and bus - but it looks like river view rooms are further away from those.

thanks for all your opinions!! Still hard to make a decision :0

I think since it is a short December trip, you won't be able to enjoy the pools at BC/YC so I personally would save the $800 and splurge on dining options! I LOVE French Quarter and did a short 3 night stay there in July and it was perfect for our trip! It's a small layout, has good food at the food court, and if you want to uber everywhere, now you have the funds!

And as for what building, the resort is so small each building is not that far from the buses and food court!

What are your plans while there? MK will close early for party nights, but if you’re ok with that and just hanging at resort Poly would be neat since Cinderella’s castle is so pretty at night lit up and it’s viewable from Poly. If you’re doing Epcot festival of holidays I’d choose epcot resort and if you’re doing DS a lot then POFQ!

MK is our least favorite park but I usually like to get there at least one morning. Love AK and HS. Epcot is good for indulging. But even when at the BWI we still ended up going to DS twice on a 3 night stay (we do usually have 4 full days due to flights)

I’d honestly go with POFQ then. Especially if it means you can stay 4 nights instead of 3. And if not, that $800 could be used for fun dining and shopping splurges in DS!

One other thing I thought of. Maybe a stay at POFQ could be a 4 night stay instead!!
Longer stay is always a good thing! No room is terribly far from anywhere at FQ. We’ve had river views at Riverside (usually a free upgrade, twice) and enjoyed it. I love strolling along the river paths. I’m not sure how often boats run. Maybe every 20 min?
