Hi all,

so we are booked to stay at POFQ for 2 weeks, with the free QSDP in January 2020 . We're considering upgrading to DDP, but it would actually work out cheaper for us to change our booking to a Deluxe Studio at Saratoga Springs and get the free DDP there. (We are 2 adults and 3 kids aged 5,3 and 1)
We love the look of POFQ, that it has been recently refurbished and the fact that it is so small with 3 little ones, and reviews online seem to be that SSR is a bit dated. (I stayed there about 15 years ago and it seemed dated then) Has anyone stayed there recently that could give me an honest review?

Many Thanks!

SSR is currently undergoing a full room refurbishment. They started back in June in the Congress Park Section. The refurbishment will take nearly 2 years since it's a large resort.

POFQ - the resort is beautiful and relaxing. After a long day at the parks, you and your family will enjoy the resorts small town feel.

That's a tough one. The DDP can be a decent overall savings. For me, the theme at the SSR doesn't do it for me. So if that's important then stick with POFQ. Or check to see if OKW has some availability ( the theme is better, IMO and they are usually around the same price point. )

Also note, the studio will have one queen bed and a pull-out sofa bed. And it is a HUGE resort.

I guess I'm in the minority and would choose SSR. The resort size doesn't bother me - we rent a car so it's a non-issue. The studio rooms include microwave, full size coffee maker, small fridge and toaster. Perhaps this matters less on the dining plan but we like having these, especially with kids and their finicky eating habits. Also, I think they have a bit more space than a moderate room, at least it feels like?

Access to free laundry on a long trip is a nice perk, too.
