POFQ or CSR after Thanksgiving?

I have to disagree with your review of POFQ. I have already commented on the bus issue, but to say that it doesn't have any amenities or extras other than being small is certainly not true! Being a sister resort with POR, it actually has twice the amenities. You get 2 themed pools, 2 hottubs, bike/surrey/boat rentals, carriage rides, the boat to DTD, and live entertainment at ScatCats and RiverRoost lounges. Boatwrights is a short walk away and has excellent food. The only amenities I can think of that it doesn't have is a salon and spa. We vacation every year at some very nice resorts and I have yet to get my hair done or work out while I'm there. I'm too busy to use up park time having my hair or nails done and I get my exercise walking miles in the parks!

It does have double if you count POR but if you have to walk there, then it is no different in size than CSR. So I'll take it all under one resort. Plus as I mentioned, CSR has tanning beds, a spa, a salon, a fitness center, full menu room service, an internal shuttle system provided by golf carts, its own marina and much more.

We actually walked over to POR only once, to eat at Boatwright's. It wasn't a bad walk, maybe 10 minutes or so. But we definitely liked the smallness of POFQ. My point was that it was not accurate to say that POFQ did not have any amenities. Heck, the values have some amenities! I visited your website, Buzz, when making my decision, and it was awesome! The pictures were so pretty and I'm sure CSR is a great resort as well. Maybe we will try it out one day. We picked POFQ mainly for its size but wound up loving everything about it!

I think you should pick POFQ since it is a gift to your mom and she might get tired from walking. It is a smaller resort. Now if it were me and my 2 little kids I would choose CSR. I like the theme of it better and the pool looks nicer. ALso like PP said it has the central air which is quieter and better than getting up 3 X anight because I'm hot and then cold. That would be a factor for me.

Having been to POFQ 4 times, I highly recommend it. Went last year with my 78 Y.O. parents and had no problems. Any building is less than 5 min. walk to food court or busses.
