Alright, I checked out another thread with this exact debate, but I would like to revive/ bump it. What I could gather is that CB is lovely, but very big, although I'm used to that because on my last trip (it was also my first), I stayed at Coronado Springs, so I am definitly used to that, as CS was HUGE, although this trip we'd like to try a smaller resort as we LOVED how beautiful CS was, but it was perhaps too big. Then again, I have heard so much about FQ, but my only concern is that what I've heard most of is ''romantic charms'', but the thing is, I am 13 (14 at the time of the trip) and I will be going with a 8 year old (9 at time of trip) sister, and my parents, and I was wondering if it is family-friendly or is it mainly an adult-friendly place?

Thanks in advance,

Shakebearr

POFQ is very family friendly. We have stayed twice. The first time it was just the four of us (me, DH, DD15, and DD11-at the time). We went back the following year and took my parents. We all enjoyed it very much. My girls love the pool. The resort is small, so I had no problem letting them walk around the place without DH and me. The only reason we aren't staying there in May is because we bought a camper and are trying Fort Wilderness for the first time. Otherwise, we would be at POFQ.

Thank you very much ! That was our only concern and now it sounds great ! Does anyone else have any other opinions ?

You will be fine DD13 really liked it . A quick walk over to riverside was not tha bad. Arcade was OK and pool was very nice. The boat ride down to DTD is also a very nice ride. You can rent different types of boats at POR as well.

You will be first on and off the buses with only one stop then over to POR.

CBR is a beautiful resort. Many many people don't mind the walk at CBR. It is a very relaxing resort. You feel like you have escaped from the world when you stay there.

You might want to visit the CBR FAQ thread listed below. You will find many happy guests of the resort.

Yeh, don't take the "romantic" comments too seriously. Romantic can just mean pretty and pleasing to the eye. It's not like they have "couples only" drinking fountains or anything like that. The place is not at all made for couples or adults only.

I can't imagine that you'll feel out of place there. I'm sure you guys will have a great time!

We have stayed at CB, French Quarter and Riverside. Actually, with kids I would say Riverside over French Quarter, but definitely better than CB. Not that French Quarter is not kid friendly, but Riverside has a better pool, playground, arcade, and even has fishing on site. It's one of our favorite resorts with kids! Have fun. Jane

We have never stayed at POFQ or POR (would like to someday) but when talking about going back this year, my kids demanded to go back to CBR. They love it! It has pools, an island, beach to play on, etc;. My DD is 8 almost 9 and my DS is 7. I do like CBR although it is a little large. Very beautiful landscaping! I'm sure that you'll be happy anywhere!
