POFQ King Rooms

I've been looking at the maps for POFQ. It appears that some of the King rooms offer views of the river.

The description for a king room says that it has a view of the gardens or courtyard.

If I also want a view of the river, which category should I request?

I would request "River View".

Sure it is. Just call the main reservation line and ask the phone CM to add a request of "river view" to your reservation. We've done that 3 times and gotten a king room facing the river each time.

Now it's not guaranteed your request will be granted. But just pointing out it is definitely an option to request "river view" when booked in a King room.

I'll be sure to have my TA note that on my reservation. This is our first time staying at French Quarter. Stayed at Riverside before.

Perfect. The main reason I don't use the room request option during Online Check In is that the options are predetermined and limited. They are the same options no matter what room type you book so some don't even make sense.

We just returned from POFQ yesterday, We had requested a King Bed, but didn't get it. No big deal, would have been nice but not a big deal. The CM said that there were less than 15 rooms in the resort that had these beds. So its a difficult wish to grant.

Had you booked the King Bed category and still didn't get one? Or had you just made a request on a regular room booking? We had considered POFQ or one of the other mods that have king beds as a bookable room, thinking that was a way to guarantee a king bed, but if there's still a chance of not getting one I don't know if we'd go that route.

You got some bad information from the CM. There are 62 King Rooms at POFQ. King rooms at all the Moderates are not something that is possible to get by requesting it. You have to book a King room at the Moderates in order to get one.

Good to know, it was not a big deal, we were literally in the room to sleep. But can't wait to go back and have a great time there
