My wife and I just returned from a 7 day, 6 night visit to WDW last night. We stayed at POFQ with the free dining plan. As a tool for this review, use the ratings ledger below:

1 = Poor
2 = Fair
3 = Good
4 = Very Good
5 = Excellent

Disney Magical Express

Service - 5
We arrived at MCO at 10:15AM, checked into POFQ and were walking into the Magic Kingdom by noon,... enough said. Oh yeah,... the luggage was in our room upon our return later that night. :cool1: Return service was on time.

POFQ Resort

Room - 5
Nice size and very clean
Mousekeeping - 5
Room was always immaculate and well supplied with towels, toiletries, etc.
Check-in - 5
Took 5 minutes and CM was very pleasant and thorough
Food Court - 3
Average fare,... no better or worse than the Theme Park food.
Bus Service - 5
Waited no longer than 5 minutes,... no kidding!

Food Plan

Concourse Steakhouse - 3
Food was very good but the noise from Chef Mickey's and lack of ambiance brings the rating down from an otherwise 3.5
Mama Melrose - 1.5
The food here is just not good. Olive Garden would rate a 5 if compared to this place. The service raises the rating from an otherwise 1. :guilty:
Wolfgang Puck Cafe - 3.5
Food and service worthy of this rating. Killer carrot cake!
California Grille - 5+
Undoubtedly the finest dining experience we had. Our waitress, Gail, made recommendations with our choices and she was right on. The BEST sushi we have EVER had! Absolutely worth it in every way imaginable. Extra tip given was well deserved. :)
Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki - 2
Nice show by the chef but the service was inconsistent and portions were skimpy. :earseek:

Shows/Rides/Attractions

Cinderellabration - 2.5
Nice for the under 12 crowd but that's about it. Too corny for me.
Mickey's PhilharMagic - 4
Nice show but if Walt were alive he could have made it a 5 rating. Very good but just didn't knock my socks off. :3dglasses
Stitche's Great Escape - 1.5
Cute but no real substance.
Soarin' - 4
Cool experience but I have no idea why one needs to ride this more than twice.
Fantasmic! - 5
A must see! Just wish they had a little padding on those bleacher seats! Walt would be proud of this. ::MickeyMo
Share a Dream Come True Parade - 3
Budget for the afternoon parades must be tight because they just aren't as elaborate as they used to be. I cracked a smile but that's about it. :smooth:
So You Want To Be a Millionaire! - 4
Not a ride but I placed in the top 10 after our game so it's worthy of mentioning here. :earboy2:

Went on just about every other ride and they were awesome as usual. Just mentioned some of the newer biggies above. By the way,... almost all rides were walk-on meaning less than a 5 minute wait.

10th Annual Food and Wine Festival
So much food, wine, beer. What a blast! :Pinkbounc

That may be the best trip report I've ever read. Since I just got back, I have to re-think mine. Naa, I'll just ramble on. Glad you enjoyed it.

Additional comments about POFQ,... the place was immaculate, CM's were very friendly and helpful. The pool and hottub area were fun,... especially the hottub after a long day at the Parks. Read the names on the street signs,... what a hoot! Try ScatCats for an adult libation and some cool jazz-type entertainment. Really relaxing! :cool1: Our room (4111) was very quiet at night and the A/C worked very well,... not too cool, not too warm,... just right! BTW, we tipped Mousekeeping $3 a day for the 2 of us.

Thanks for the review. We also just came back Tuesday from a 6 day stay at POFQ. I agree that Magical Express was great both times, what a great service. We just love POFQ. I love the boats that go to Downtown Disney, what a nice relaxing way to get there. We also loved California Grill on this trip, it and Jiko were the best places we dined on this trip.

We will be back to POFQ on from Dec. 1 - 10.

Great review. Short and sweet and to the point. (Nothing against long reviews. Those are fine too.)

Hubby and I will be staying at POFQ for 6 days in January. Can't wait. Appreciate your review of Mama Melrose's too. I've been thinking about a Fantasmic dining package, but not positive yet. Gave some thought to MM, but being married to an Italian - I didn't know if I'd want to chance it. Best if we avoid it and I'll take him for a nice dinner in Boston's North End for some real Italian.

Glad you liked Wolfgang Puck's. I really like it there and have convinced hubby that it's a must during our trip.

No questions about POFQ yet...but if you think of anything else to share. I'll listen/read.

Great report! My wife and I leave Wednesday, 5 sleeps but who's counting, for POFQ. One question - how late is Scat Cats open???
