Like you can now at the all stars and pop century? I don't mind walking, but with a two year old that extra time saved would be nice. Thanks for any info!

I'm not sure about preferred rooms, but POFQ is much more compact than the All Stars so even from teh furthest building the walk didn't seem that bad. We didn't stay there since it was closed and we were relocated during our stay, but we went to visit before it closed and didn't really think any buildings were nearly as far away as some of the outer buildings at Movies and Sports, and especially Music.

That's the beauty with POFQ. You're never too far away from anything.

Does anyone know if you can pay a "preferred" rate & get rooms in the mansions section at POR? We have ressies there for Dec. and really want the Mansions. I have no interest at all in the rustic rooms of AB. Thanks, Sandy

When I was thinking of staying there this year, I asked because I've already stayed at AB. They said they would "make it a request", but no guarantee.

We stayed in the Mansions, and it was a 5 minute beautiful walk over a bridge to get to the Main building! We were 2 minutes away from the quite pool and Laundry room. We loved it!

We stayed at the POFQ two weeks before it was closed last year. At that time there was no concept of "preferred room" - you could only request a building but nothing guarenteed.

As someone esle said at the FQ nothing in an overly long walk (we were in the building that is the tail end of the Herbie the love Bug at AsMo once). Building 7 was the furthest away but still not too bad.

The buildings must of had elevators (we didn't haul our lugguage up and down the stairs). They were 3 stories.

We loved this resort!!!!

We stayed at POFQ in July 2002. We did have a water view building (and requested that it be pool view). We did pay a little extra for the water view, and ended up in building 5 (I think) which faced the pool and was next door to the food court. They do have elevators. This resort is wonderful!
