Help! Leaving in 7 days - yeah! Staying FQ for first time with 3 kids. I believe all buildings have elevators but what do you think would be the best/quiet location for our family. Was originally going to request ground floor - but when making reservation was told that might be noisey? Top floor might be a hassel, as one baby doesn't like elevators. Hubby willing to take stairs with her.
Is there really a big difference in top or bottom floor when it comes to noise?

Any suggestions?

We've stayed in both top and bottom. Top is quieter, a lot depends on the family above you, do they have little ones running, jumping on beds. Do they flush in the middle of the night -- (people please if it's yellow let it mellow at 4am, it can wait until the morning!) When we stayed on the bottom floor it was moderately a bit noisier, but we are pretty laid back about stuff like that. Taking the steps is no big deal. I would request the top, but either one is truly fine. The resort is compact, so any room won't be a far walk to the food court or bus stop. The kids will love the serpent tongue pool. Have a good trip!

Thanks Kallison - that helps alot - think I'll request the top floor! Can't wait to get there!!!

We have stayed in bldg 4 and it is VERY convient to the food court and the bus stop. By the way, our kids were 4.5 and 1.5 when we stayed there. We had a room on the top floor and it was not at all a hassel.

our family just LOVES POFQ we last stayed in bldg #4 in connecting rooms on the first floor. We never experienced noise from above. WE were always so glad to not have to climb the stairs after walking all day at the parks. Bldg 4 was so close to parking, bus, food courts and just a bit further to the pool. This location would be our first choice next trip.

Our DS is 4 yrs old. This will be his 5th trip to WDW. We always request a ground floor room. It is so much easier with the stroller. And, we have never noticed a difference in noise. The 6 trips before (prior to DS) we typically were on the 2nd and 3rd floors. But, we aren't super picky about that. My DH sleeps through anything and with the TV on, I'm pretty much fine. We like bldg. 5 but bldg 4 is closer to the food court and bus stop.

I like the second floor. There aren't too many stairs to walk up (taking an elevator to a 2nd floor room just seems silly to me since I don't have any limitations, plus the elevators can be a good distance from your room), and there aren't as many people walking by your room as there are on the first floor. The only people who will go walking (or running) past your door are other people on the floor, whereas if you're on the first floor, lots of people will go walking by. I've never noticed any problems with potties or noise from other rooms, but we go in the off season, so there aren't as many full rooms and there are less kids.
