POFQ are the beds soft.Room noise?

Thinking of staying POFQ and hoping the beds are soft. Also wanted to know about the rooms being quiet. I've stayed a Pop twice and there always seemed to be some kind of noise in the room . Thanks for the help. Tina

Hey there. The beds at POFQ weren't the greatest, but not the worst I've slept on, either. Typical hotel beds. However, I can honestly say, we were there for a week and I never heard noise from another room. It was very peaceful and private. Although the toilet made a horrible noise when flushed! (and with my family, it was flushed a lot!!!)

Room quietness can never really be guaranteed. That depends on your neighbors and you can't control them. We've stayed at the All Stars, first floor facing the quiet pool and never had noise. Then we stayed at the Yacht Club and had a very noisy family that would get up every monring early for breakfast and make a lot of noise getting out of their room. Then they would come back in an hour, get ready for the parks, and then make noise getting ready for that too. I can't remeber any noise factor when we stayed at Pop Century.

I too would like to know about the beds. I stayed at POP in January and the beds were the hardest beds ever. It was like sleeping on wood.

If you think the beds at POP are hard, they're just as hard at POFQ. I love both of those resorts but the beds are murder on my back. I have to bring a memory foam mattress pad (in a duvet cover) so I can get a good night's sleep.

We stayed at FQ in 2007 and loved it! We were in Bldg. 5 in a corner room on the third floor. We had no problem at all with any type of noise.

I thought the beds were very comfortable. They didn't seem too hard or too soft...they were perfect for us.

When I get back from the parks I could sleep on a slab with nails sticking out of it.

Thanks everyone . We stayed at the WL on our last stay and the beds were wonderful. I don't mind the noise you hear from the people next door, I just don't want to feel there in the same room as me. At Pop the noise was a bit of everything, a strange bizzing noise like a bad lamp? It just always seemed busy, never a quite moment of silence. I've stayed twice so it wasn't just a one time thing. And the beds were hard. Now the hard beds I can deal with, the lack of quite time on top of hard beds make for lack of sleep . Now don't get me wrong I love the price at POP and appreciate Disney making these lower priced rooms available. But its is my vacation and if at all possible I will stay at the higher end resorts . But im sure Pop will be in our future again. So far I've stayed at- GF-AKL-Shades of Green-Contemporary-Pop-WL. The WL was the best. I am exicted about trying POFQ. Tina

If it's of any help, FQ (all resorts except values do) has pillow top beds - the beds were first changed to pillow top in 2005, so assume Disney has not changed the beds since then.

No problems sleeping at any resort (CR,Poly,AKL,GF,BC,BWV,POR,FQ,POP,Dolphin,),but GF beds were the most comfy

DW and I stayed there last September and had a great trip. We remember the beds being comfortable. They are not the Heavenly Beds that you will get at the Swan or the Dolphin but they are good.

As far as noise, it was very quite. Very peaceful and relaxing back at the rooms.

Stayed for 3 nights in October 2007.
The beds were ok, not bad, just ok.

The resort is very pretty and extremely quiet.
It's my favorite of the moderates.

Could someone give me a general rundown of POFQ? We are requesting buildings 2 or 5 for our Nov 27- Dec 2 stay. Any advice?
