POFQ and POP rooms????

We are staying at POFQ one night upon arrival. We will be there for the afternoon(early) and overnight. What would be a good room number to request? how busy is the pool in the afternoon? We have disney dining-where do we get the 20% discount Scat Cat's? pool bar? etc

Same question for POP-one night before departure home-bldg to suggest, pool activity? food court? how are mom's specials???

Requesting an exact room number is usually not a good idea--if it's not available, you could be stuck in a totally different area far from where you really want to be. Your best bet would be to request a building, or a particular view.

I am a big fan of building four at the POFQ. It's close to the food court and the bus stop. It's just a few minutes walk to the pool and the boat to Downtown Disney. I have never had a problem getting a chair at the pool at the POFQ. Of course, it depends on the time of year you are going--if you are going in the middle of the summer, and it's 95 degrees, the pool will probably be pretty packed. I believe the DDE is also good at the food court at the POFQ.

As for Pop, we stayed in the 70's building with the big wheel. Had a great room on the first floor. It had a view of the parking lot, but there was a large courtyard in front of it, so there was no noise from the parking lot in our room. The room was very convienent to the food court and the bus stop. It was a few minutes to wall to the main pool and the computer pool.

We really enjoyed our 50's room. Bldg 3, second floor, corner room. Very quiet, and very convenient. Maybe a 1 1/2 minute walk to the food court, and to either of 2 pools.

My friend and I stayed in the 80's building facing the lake. We had a wonderful stay!

At the food court we both enjoyed the strawberry pancakes, breakfast potatoes, and ham and cheese omelet. For lunch/dinner, we loved the bacon wrap and hamburger.
