I have been warned here on the Boards about the difference between ADJOINING and CONNECTING rooms. All resorts have rooms that "adjoin" but I suspect you want "connecting" -- with the door between them. I requested this at PO-FQ for our stay in July and they noted it on my request, so I guess some rooms DO connect. Hope this helps!

Yep, I did the exact same thing. Originally I had requested adjoining, but I guess that just means the rooms are next to each other. Then I changed it to connecting, at POR, so that we have a door between the rooms.
I requested connecting rooms at POFQ and my request was honored. I was quite surprised, since this was the first weekend in May and the place was full. Just make your request and hope for the best!
Some people fax a request to the resort 3 or 4 days before arrival. There is mixed opinion on whether this works or not. You can call the reservations folks anytime prior to a stay and ask politely to have this listed as a request.
