poems

I never take chances
I always get screwed.
But they told me
"You'll never get anywhere".
So I took a chance...
On you.
I made a mistake...
By letting you into my heart.
You tore me apart,
Made me cry,
Shattered a fairytale existence.
Before, everything was perfect...
Now everytime we talk I dwell on the memories
Of what used to be,
What could have been,
And what should have been,
You and me.
I thought you cared...
I guess I was wrong.
You barely talk to me...
I feel like you can't stand me...
Now they say "It's his loss"
"Don't let him get to you"
But it's my loss too...
I got hurt, not you...
You broke my heart...
All because I took a chance.

~ Me

Here's a poem that I made up:
God is the key when ye are lost,
God is the strength for when we have fought;
God is the Sheperd of the day,
He is the Master that leads the way.

God is the one,
Indeed he is;
Who will lead us where:
He always is!

aww thanks! I like your poem

ok...

Orphans line the walls of the cargo hold,
Each of them different from the other,
Most skinnier than the rails they ride over.
Brown hair, brown eyes,
Eyes that can't see the furture,
The eyes that can't see death,
Bodies strung over bodies,
Mangled corpses rotting in the next car,
A piece of an ear, slightly chewed on, clinging to the moisture on the wall.

Don't try blinking,
It won't go away;
Deep in your mind these pictures will stay,
Learn to keep them with you,
Because they are apart of you,
And you could have been there.

There's an image in your mind,
An imprint from a difference in time,
A time when hair color mattered,
And whatever you carried on your back,
Was probably all you owned.

Whether you lived or died depended on your number,
Or your case.

Are you gay...?
You're dead.

Too little to work?
You're dead.

Number 21?
You're dead.

Sick? Crippled? Blind? Deaf?
You're dead.

You only lived if they had use of you,
If THEY could use YOU,
Experiment on YOU,
Cut you from your neck to your spleen,
Just to see what color your blood REALLY was.

And if you feel like it,
You can cry,
Because you WILL feel it,
They'll make sure of that.
They'll make sure you live long enough,
Long enough to feel the pain bad enough to leave you stranded,
Teetering between reality and unconsciousness.
Quivering on the edge of forever.

But you weren't there,
you didn't see it happening,
You weren't lied to,
Your children weren't murdered in front of your eyes,
And you didn't work your hands to the very bones of your fingers.

How do you know you wouldn't have been selected for experimentation?
How do you know?

Knowledge,
You may know about it,
But you can't see it,
You can't feel it,
But take it,
Take it with you.
Let everyone know that this was wrong,

And pray that 'they' NEVER FORGET.

i love that show and hes is really hot lol. yea broken hearts suck...seems that its one thing that cant be avoided :-( but thats why im glad i have such great friends. ooooh i gotta write a poem about that!

I always read this one when i'm sad and heartbroken

"Somewhere there is someone who dreams of your smile,
and finds in your presence that life is worthwhile,
so when you are lonely remember it's true.
someone, somewhere is thinking of you"

::Sigh::

I just thought of this whill i was sitting here reading your poems here it goes.

Where were you??
Where were you when 9/11 happened?
Where were you when the first plane hit, or even the second one hit.
I know where I was. I was sitting in class crying because one day I knew we were gonna go to war.
Where were you when you heard the U.S was going to war?
Where were you whe you saw on tv or heard from someone told you U.S bombed Iraq?
I know where I was, I was crying because my thought came true. I was crying cause my dad was over there in Iraq fighting for our freedom fighting to help us become peaceful. I was crying and praying he comes back alive, cause we had a fight a week before he left and he didn't call to let me know that he was called to duty. I found out by his wife two weeks later he was called to duty. Now it's been three months that i haven't found out anything about him or even heard anything about him. I cry myself to sleep thinking was it me did I make this all happen just because we had a fight?
So ask yourself where was you when this all started and where you were when you heard.

Written by me
