Hi,

Let me start off by saying,all of the DIS people I have met are very talented and good at writing poems stories. I want to make a dis Poem/Story book. I need your help! There's a prize involved in this, so I'll make it worth your while. I will talk about the prize later. This is sort of a contest. Now here are the basic rules:

1. Do NOT STEAL ANYONE ELSE'S WORK! If you steal anyone else's work, you will be disqualified and will not be able to win anything and may be banned from a future contest I would like to hold. So you know I mean buisness.

2. Your poem or story may be based on anything, life, school, friends, or whatever you feel like basing it on.

3. You may enter as many poems/stories as you would like. They must be at least three sentence's long.

4.Being rude about someone's work is forbidden!

5. When you want to send in an entry (please post it here) I want you to make it look like this:

My Story/Poem title
My DIS Title

Write what you would like in this area and remember to center it​

6. Please do not submit comments with your entry, if you feel you need to post a question feel free to do so in another post.

I hope to have a poem from many DIS member's. Even if you don't have the best spelling, It won't matter.

Now the prize. I will be getting something from bug, and if you've seen his shop he sells quests and stuff for credits. Keep your eye on what your interested in

Danny's Pick​

Danny sat in the sand on Pismo beach staring at the dark clouds on the horizon. There was no sound except the soft sound of waves lapping up on to the beach. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his lucky guitar pic, he examined it and kissed its smooth surface. His body got restless and he finally stuffed his pic in his pocket and took off his Black sweatshirt and his Nirvana tee-shirt. He ran up to the waters edge and started swimming, and swimming, and swimming untill he reached the red buoy(sp?). The he turned back and headed for the shore. When he finally stood on the wet sand he put his hand in his pocket. No pic. Oh god he thought to himself I was going to give that to Amy! Amy was a sweet girl who lived across the street from Danny in San Luis Obispo. Her hair was bright red and was almost long enough for her to sit on. When danny first met her, it was love at first sight. He loved music. She loved music. He loved making videos. She liked making videos. They both liked the same thing. He loved her but of course.. she didn't know that.
Danny kicked the sand.
"Theres no way I can find it!" he said loudly but no one was around to hear him. He decided he might as well get a new one. He threw his guitar case starp over his shoulder and started to walk downtown. It wasn't odd that he wasn't wearing a shirt, everyone did it in Pismo. Some tourist did stare though. He just kept on walking passing the famous clam chouder shop, and the fudge store.Then after a few blocks, he reached DEANS GUITAR STORE. Danny pushed the door open as the little bell on the door sounded.
"Hey Dean." Danny said spotting the owner polishing a red eletric guitar. Dean gestured a hello and Danny started walking to the back of the store were hundreds of picks were. There were a variety os colors. After searching for the perfect one, he picked a green one with a red heart on it. He stared at it for a moment and then walked back up to the front of the store and slammed it down on the counter.
"What happened to your lucky one?!" Dean saod wide-eyed. "Lost it, in the water." Danny replied. "What a shame man, that was one lucky pick." Dean said ringing up the new pick. As Danny was opening his wallet Dean said "Want it engraved?" "Uh... I dunno.. sure I guess" Danny said pulling out $2.50. "What do you want on it?" Dean said. Danny thought of something perfect.
When Dean came back from the storage room in the back he held up dannys new pick. Danny slowly took it from his hands. "Thanks Dean." Danny said. He held it up in the light it read: 'Danny+Amy' "Hope it's lucky too." Dean said. "Oh I think it will be even luckier." Danny said smiling.​

awesome idea!!!!! i want to give a story, but i already told you how ideas don't stay too long with me.............. and if they do they turn into massive projects................ perhaps i'll do a poem.
