First you have to understand that it has been a long time since I've been to WDW. I think our last adventure to see Mickey was 2005. I have always looked forward to our Disney vacation as a time to reconnect with my husband of 32 years. We actually had never even taken a vacation since we were married until around 1990. Ok yes I know that makes us older than dirt! ;-) But, we went for the first time on a cruise/disney vacation and I was enchanted and totally hooked with the Disney experience.
I can still see, feel and imagine myself standing in the Downtown Disney area just after getting off a bus and entering in the little side entrance to downtown where the kids play in the water spouts. The picture spot the hustle and bustle and the call of "Please approach the purple elephant" in the distance from Rainforest Cafe.
That being said after having the fabulous opportunity of going to Disney about five times the last being 2005 we have not been able to go back. Then I found the PODCAST. I was am and always will be in heaven.
I really didn't know what I had come across until in recent years our family has gone through some difficult times with my Mom being sick and then having some medical problems myself I looked forward every week to listening.
I was at home recovering from some surgery
when it struck me as I listened
to this wild and crazy bunch of people talk about all things Disney and being fabulously off topic from time to time that I really care about them.
I so look forward to Pete's rants and the Martin family news. I love Teresa and Kathys input and individual family news and experiences. John and Kevins reviews and views of everything under the sun. And Walter's addition has been great and he has really grown into his spot around the table hasn't he? And never forget Max the intern. I care about their individual up's and down's and rejoice in their joy and feel for their sorrow.
So if they don't already know it IMHO they mean so much more than a Podcast about Disney to so many people. It's a bright spot in my life when things are down and a treat in my week when everything is going fine. And right now we don't have any plans to come back to Disney any time soon but, I will continue to listen to this planning and informational Podcast because they are so much more than the sum of their parts.
Thanks Podcast for everything from: DizzyGal a lurker and a listener and a true friend for life!
