We went and took Bluebonnet pictures this weekend west of Austin, TX. It was absolutly amazing!

All wonderful but the one of the little girl ROCKS!! Hope you are printing and hanging that one cause it deserves to be shown!!

That is Christy's (and mine) nephew and niece. We are taking them to the "Happiest Place on Earth" along with Farmer Ian in June!

Love the bluebonnet pictures. Beautiful!!!

The flower reminds me a bit of our lupines, but lupine stalks are taller and flowers are pink, prple and blue.

Mike those pictures are great! We've been workin gin TX this week, but nowhere I've been looks like that!

Found out last night my BFF Cindy convinced her DH to book the Podcast cruise!

I told her to ask for Tracy and go ahead and have her link our dining. She asked what name we booked under... I told her "just tell her Lori and Bad Rick- she'll know exactly who you mean....

We've been forecast with good weather on Saturday which will be nice. I am intent on trying out my camera outside to see what it can do

Those are the original shots with no touch-ups. The key to great colors was the time of day. I took them an hour and half before sun down when the sun is casting the perfect light. Plus the Bluebonnets have a deep, vivid blue this year.

Happy Thursday!

When I picked DP up from work last night, he gets in the car and announces: "We need to go to the Apple Store, right now."
I looked at him like he is ablaze in green flames, and ask him why.
He tells me that he wants to buy me an iPad, so I can have something to do on the bus to and from Chicago this weekend. I try to dissuade him, but his mind is set. However, after some further investigating, the 3G version will not be released until later this month, and that is the one we agreed to get, IF we were to get one.
So back to the drawing board for the bus. My library doesn't have any books about DisneyLand or some of the other suggestions on hand. Perhaps I will go to B&N or Borders and buy one. Or take my crayons and sketch up a logo for the Castaway Cay 5K GKTW Early Morning Jaunt.

Good Morning Everyone. Lovely day here in Virginia, a little on the cool side, but that's ok.

Not a happy story. 2 1/2 years ago DS at 17 was going to college, just got back from 100th International Scout Jambo, working on finishing Eagle Scout, active at church. Got sick (MSSA-cousin of MRSA), had heart valve replaced, had massive stroke/CVA. Drs didn't think he'd make it. All ths left him in wheelchair, unable to move, or speak. Uses eye-gaze computer to communicate (look up locked-in syndrome). Welcome to the new 'normal'.

Oh! I am so sorry. Those superbugs are awful. You have brought your family through a lot.

Oh! I am so sorry. Those superbugs are awful. You have brought your family through a lot.

I'm so sorry to hear this that must have been awful to go through. I hope you are all coping ok? I think it's amazing that people with such severe disabilities (I hope you don't take offence to that word) can still communicate.

Just have to go on with life and living. Does get us the good rooms, tho. Harder for Wheels than the rest of us.

But enough gloominess. Back to the regularly scheduled mayhem of the boards.
