I got my 3000th post this morning!

Well done I think I may get there by the cruise - that's my target anyway. 3000 - 1787 = 1213 until I get to 3000, over 400 or so days = just over 3 per day, sounds do-able to me

Hi, I had no idea this was happening. I will ask at work tomorrow but I don't think anyone I know follows (American) football as we call it, talk about football (soccer) though and you'll be there all day We do have rugby which has a similarly shaped ball (not sure if it's the same size) - it involves less kicking and a lot more violence than soccer.
So who won? I don't even remember seeing it advertised on TV (not that I would pay attention )

I did not know about this either but I will certainly ask around.

I used to watch The NFL on tv here many years ago.
It used to be shown on channel 4 at around 6pm on a Sunday night but was moved to a late night slot of around 11pm some years later.
I used to enjoy watching it and know the rules well enough to follow the game.
I also used to like watching Kabaddi. Haven't seen that on tv for years!

Patriots won the last two games 97 - 7. They are doing pretty good with Brady back playing. Or, the last two teams were not so good. Or a combination of both.

Not to belittle the Patriots but saying the last team they played fell into the "no so good" category was a gross overstatement.

Oh, I agree. The last 2 teams were pretty pathetic, and it was not exactly a challenge. But at least Belichick put in the 2nd stringers this time, to give them some play time and to level the field somewhat.
