Can you please tell me where the closest Publix is to Saratoga Springs Resort? I normally go to the one down by Gaylord Palms but was looking to make a stop on way to resort from airport.

Thanks!

There is a Publix at the intersection of SR 535 and Highway 192.

It's no closer than the one near Gaylord Palms.

There is also a Publix on Sand Lake Road, which is just off I 4....but again...no closer than the other one.

There is a Winn Dixie on Apopka Vineland Road about 1.5 miles past the entrance to Hotel Plaza Blvd.

There is also a Goodings in the Crossroads. (nasty nasty place with bad service and a dirty store)

Thanks Kevin! We used to go to the Winn Dixie but the traffic would be terrible sometimes in that area....and you are not kidding about Goodings.

I will just stick with the one that I know!

If you are using the north entrance to IOA (528) there is a new Publix at exit #2, Universal Ave across from Shingle Creek Resort. Last two times I have been in this store I see that the car service companies that offer a 30 minute shopping upon arrival are stopping here. This is a very clean store and has only been open for several months now. Another option if you are using the 417 (south exit to IOA) there is a Publix about 1/2 mile south of the 417 at John Young Parkway.

Kevin-

Just curious. We usually go to the Publix on Vineland at Int'l Dr. We take exit 6 off 417 to Int'l Dr, then head into WDW on World Center Dr. Is this store one of the ones you mentioned? Should I be using a closer one instead?

Anyone want to help me out finding the nearest Target. I'll be staying at a vacation home near 192 and Scherbeth Road (spelling??). I am working for Target now and could use my discount down there as well on some items we will need for our upcoming trip.

There is a new super Target about 1/4 east of 535 on 192.

Thanks for asking this, I was gonna do the same :thumbsup2

And thanks for the info Kevin :cool1:

There's an even newer Super Target on 192 at the 429 intersection so depending on where you are staying that one could be even closer to you.

I think there is a Publix on the right just before Orange Lake on the other side of the 429 if my memory serves me correct.

I agree that the Goodings is Nasty!

When I was at WDW in May I went to the Winn Dixie. It was clean and they were friendly. (traffic was not bad at all but I went at 10:30 am). I was purchasing soda, water, breakfast foods, fruit, snacks and wine. The prices were reasonable. At check out, the nice cashier asked if I had a Winn Dixie card. I did not, so she had me sign a form and I had one in 30 seconds (saved me about $20.00). She then noticed that I was buying 4 bottles of wine. She told me that with my card I could get 10% off of the wine if I purchased 6 bottles. I mentioned that that was more wine then we would drink. She looked at my selections and let me know that 2 of my choices were on a buy one get one free special. She sent the bagger to get two more. I ended up saving 10% plus having 2 more bottles of wine. I call that customer service!!

When I checked into the Swan, I was chatting with the gal at Check In. I joked that I had just purchased too much wine for this trip, please make my room easy to locate. (I booked a basic no view room). She asked me what wines I purchased since she was taking a wine tasting class. I told her and she noted that one of theReds was one she wanted to try. I had my friend go get it for her. We finished checking in. When we went to the room, it was a corner, balcony, with an Epcot, Illuminations view. Score!

Thank you Winn Dixie. Thank you Swan. Excellent service!!

Okay I was just on the Publix site and there is a Store Locator section you can type in the address of your resort and it will give you the closest locations. There was one that was about 4 miles from SSR but only open until 10:00pm which we would not make. So we are going to try to hit the one at 2925 International Drive which is 6 miles away but open until 11:00pm. Not sure if this is the same one that we have always gone to by Gaylord Palms or not but I was able to print out directions from their site.
