How many 18-25 are traveling? We are traveling with 3. Hoping there are others, so they don't get bored hanging out with 'old folks'.

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers - Happy Thursday!!

I am trying to get through my last day of work before I head to the world tomorrow.

I got my DVC Reservation for AKV-Kidani in for the Pre-Cruise Dates of the trip - I got all my dates except for 1 day which I am wait listed for.

I have about had it with this week - can we declare it over now? With a sick cat in the middle of my night shifts, I lost a lot of sleep. This morning we were woken up to a sick child at somewhere between 2 and 3. She seems to have what would be diagnosed as a "norwalk like" bug I am sure. I will spend the rest of the day between laundry, disinfectant and keeping her fever down.

I need to start packing!!!!!!
I need everyone to be healthy!

What days are you going to be at WDW next week? Let me know and maybe we can meet up. :)

I'll send you a message here or on FB...

Happy Thursday folks! :wave2:

Ordered some new luggage last night for 2.0.

Originally wanted a 29" rolling suiter but those things are too big and put you in danger of exceeding the 50lb limit for checked luggage. Went with the 26" that is expandable. After a week of research decided to go with the Delsey Helium 250GX. Got two of them. One for Deb and one for me. TravelPro was in the running but I didn't like the features as well as the Delsey and the Platinum line was way too much money.

I have a TravelPro roll a board and I love it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Nice luggage George :thumbsup2 I agree Mike, our TravelPro but if I bought again, I agree the 26" one we have is much more manageable. The 29" is great for light bulky stuff like snorkel gear tho. But is it stoopid that I have to carry the weight of a scale around so I can weigh my bags? 50 & I are fast friends :rotfl2:

We're thinking of doing that in September as we've never been there. On docking back into CC we are flying from Orlando to Ft Myers on Southwest and I am hoping to book an afternoon flight so we can go see Ice at Gaylord Palms. Something else we've never done...

We visited KSC for the first time in Dec and it was fab :upsidedow Hmmm...had forgotten about Ice - may try to fit that in since I don't know the next time we'll be down in Dec...& a MVMCP :rolleyes1 We only have 5 days in Orlando :scared:

Hi Karen -

One nice thing about ICE is that it doesn't take all day to see -
Last year Dino & I had our usual late flight out of Orlando ( 5-6pm if memory serves ). After packing in the morning, we got our luggage down to the airport check-in counter at the resort and checked out. We then went over to the Gaylord Palms-did ICE and still had time to go back to Downtown Disney for the rest of the day before heading off to the airport.

It's official...I have graduated from college! Woot!! My parents and my brother and his family came down yesterday to celebrate. Mom and Dad went to commencement with us and then brother and his family joined us for dinner afterward. We went to Stone Creek for a nice dinner and Mom and Dad presented me with a graduation gift...

In the gift bag was a bunch of random scrapbooking related items...inks, stamps, paper, etc...but then...folded up inside of a piece of purple tissue paper was the biggie...

My Mom is buying me a D&B DCL bag!!!!!!:dance3::woohoo::cool1: I just have to decide which one I want...I think I want the large tote...but I can't decide. I've got to look at the pics again...I won't get it until next month as they are going on the Double Dip at the end of May on the Wonder. But I am way excited!!!! :dance3: I even called Jen from the restaurant to share my exciting news...:rotfl:

I know I am late but I wanted to congratulate you again on your graduation. :worship:

I can't wait to get on the boat and grab a purse. I hope they are still there in December.

Hi Everyone

We are fast approaching the 1st anniversary of PC 1.0. As I reflect back on the cruise I can't help but remember a lot of the great relationships we made and fun we had along the way. A lot of great friendships were made not just on the cruise, but the entire week.

It all started with the Muddy Buddy Run & Ride at the Wide World of Sports Complex. Three Teams took to the course and raised a great deal of money for Give Kids the World Village of Central Florida. We also had an awesome cheering section! Thanks to everyone who donated and made it an event we'll never forget. BTW - This year two teams are taking to the Muddy Buddy course. Make sure to show them your support again this year for Give Kids the World. It's a terrific organization! Here's the link where you can donate for this year. :)

The cruise itself was just spectacular. It was my first cruise and our family went into it not knowing what to expect. Thanks to everyone on the DIS and Dreams Unlimited Travel we had a great experience. I came out of it loving the cruise experience; especially on the Disney Cruise Line. I believe we were spoiled a bit cruising as part of the Podcast Cruise 1.0. There were so many little extras along the way including; the great celebrity speakers, the live podcast recording, the party at the Heads Up bar on Castaway Cay, and even a special brunch at Palo. If you are on the fence whether to join Podcast Cruise 2.0 you really need to do it. You won't be sorry. As I mentioned above a lot of friendships were made on the cruise, and for that I'm truly thankful I cruised with 400 of my bestest friends. :grouphug:

To top it all off we got to enjoy Drink Around the World 2.0 on the Friday evening after the Podcast Cruise. Again...We reinforced our friendships by enjoying EPCOT's World Showcase and some of our favorite spirits. This was simply and awesome way to top off our trip. So many great people.....Plus we could reflect on the wonderful cruise we just enjoyed. An unbelievable week our family will never forget.

Here's looking forward to Podcast Crusie 2.0!!! pirate:

Great pictures, great memories. It was the best vacation I've ever taken and I can't wait to do it again.

Ack!
Last year we tried to go to our favorite Mexican restaurant on Cinco de Mayo. The place was mobbed with college kids looking for drink specials.

I think we will more likely go tomorrow night.

We always celebrate everything a day late. St. Patty's day on 3/18, Cinco de Mayo on 5/6 and Fat Tuesday is always on Wednesday at my house. :)

LOVE IT!

Ugh!
I met with my boss yesterday and she askd "if I was happy? At work, personal life?" Seems it has been brought to her attention by different people who are worried / concerned about me. That I just don't seem happy.

Geez!

The library building project has been very stressful and I have often been in the middle trying to please different groups of people.

I sometimes tried to distance myself telling myself that it is not MY library when things didn't go the way I thought they would.

In truth, I am here more than I am at home. Some of this project was like living in a place for almost twenty years and having someone totally redecorate and more without consulting you. Yes, it is wonderful that everything is nice and new. But wall colors, pictures on wall, floor coverings - not to my taste! And sometimes it slips that, no, I am not happy.

Obviously, I need an attitude adjustment!

I am so looking forward to this wonderful trip next December!

It stinks to be stuck in the middle. Hang in there. Bring a book of elephant jokes to work. I did that one weekend. I have attitude issues as well. :rolleyes1

Happy Friday indeed! My group has regained their health. I have been able to sprinkle dinners with friends throughout this vacation. :goodvibes

Even got a little FE work done today! :goodvibes

Welcome home Becx & Gav! I was wondering if you would make it through with the ash cloud threatening to wreak havoc again.

I hate it when things are remodeled/rebuilt and the upper management forgets to ask what the people who actually use it on a daily basis need. They know better than anyone else what will work and what won't.
