:wave2: Aaron.. How are you??
Hi Kelly! We're doing well. Wish we could be in Orlando this weekend for the Muddy Buddy. We'll just have to watch from afar. Can't wait for December and PC 2.0.

I would have to 100% agree with Aaron! What an awesome time!

Is it December yet?!?!:dance3:

It's been a rough day!

Here's hoping for a better week next week!

Aaron try explaining to people how you cruise with 400 of your best internet friends.
We formed that bond before leaving for that trip through the thread.
Then you are trying to explain to family and friends how you are going on a cruise with 400 of your friends that all love the mouse and the house!
Then just when you think they are going to get it, they ask you ( You know all these people?)
Then the explaination of yes I know them, but most of them I haven't met in person yet!
Nuff Said!!!

Oh and now I get to say yes I know all these wonderful people, want to see pictues?

Good Morning Everyone!! Happy Tuesday!!

Thanks for the Pictures Aaron!!

I have had the same problem explaining the "DIS" thing to non Disney friends. At least I have now met several of you in person - so I don't have to explain the "I haven't met them in person, yet" anymore and I can't wait to put a "Live" body with the rest of my DIS friends on PCC 2.0.

I have put in my first DVC reservation request for my Pre-Cruise stay this morning, as it is my 7th month mark. :woohoo:

I just booked our night before stay at the Radisson Resort at the Port. It's amazing how exciting all of the little steps are.

We are flying into Miami on the 11th, which is because we are spending Christmas in Naples with the family and flying home from there. I am not looking forward to the drive after the flight from the UK. But when we finally get there I am going to have a lovely whirlpool bath. :goodvibes

I understand what you are all saying. It's kind of funny, but all the time I've spent on the DIS prior to the podcast and the Unplugged Board was strictly for Disney or theme park information. I never really got to know people per say. I think we had a few small Indy meets prior which were a great way to meet fellow DISers. With the advent of the Unplugged board it seems we've turned into one big happy family (I'm reluctant to say social network because I feel like it's more than that).

I just tell people I've made a lot of friends who I share a common interest. I've met almost all of you so we are now past the human connection. Let's face it, we are using the Internet for what it was intended to do....Bring us all together. I think it's awesome and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I feel pretty lucky to be going through life during a time when we have all this technology at our fingertips. I don't and won't ever take our friendship, the DIS, and the Internet for granted. We are all lucky to be here. :) :) :wizard:

I was asked to take part in a several month survey of my internet usage when I lived in Pgh. I had to fill out surveys and they came to the house several times and interviewed my family. The premise for this survey was how isolating surfing the internet was.

I kept insisting how it had broadened our horizons. I told them how I had friends all around the world that I wouldn't have had if it weren't for the internet. They never get it. When the survey results were released it proved their point that using the Internet makes for a lonely person.

I still can't believe how great it is to meet people online and then meet them in person. I truly do have friends around the world.

Nothing will ever top getting to meet so many wonderful people on Podcast 1.0. I also have a hard time explaining to friends and family about the DIS and the Podcast cruise. They don't know what they are missing.

I have the Radisson reserved as well and will be driving up early Saturday morning from Miami. I'd like to visit the Kennedy Space Center.

Good morning everyone!
I am loving the bright sunny day. Good to see little green buds on the freshly planted maple tree outside my library office window.

I have been accused of spending more time with my Disney friends than my in-person friends. Oops! :scared1:

Need to keep the balanced life of in-person and online friends.

I still get funny looks from my family and co-workers about my internet friends! My Mom understands a bit better now though. My other family just don't get it...lol

I don't know what I would do if it weren't for the DIS. I used to frequent the CB here on the DIS, but never truly connected with anyone over there. There were a few folks that I talked to regularly, but I had met very few of them. It wasn't until the Podcast Forum came about that I really connected to folks. Through the thread for PCC 1.0, and the various trips to WDW, I have finally found my "place". I have met so many wonderful people who I can truly call friends, including my BFF, Jen! :grouphug:

Had it not been for the internet, I would not be where I am today. My husband found me using the internet. And now I've found my friends...:thumbsup2

Is it time for this cruise yet?

I like your priorities. :goodvibes

My coworkers make fun of my "internet Disney friends" if they only knew....

My Mother is starting to get it.. On Wednesday Nights she asks me if it "TALK NIGHT" :lmao: I correct her every week and she still gets it wrong.

Happy Tuesday All!!

I've been away for almost two weeks, first day back to work, so were do I head, to the Dis of course!

Hello Everybody. Just checking the boards and counting down until my mini vacation at WDW. Having that will help the rest of the time go by until the cruise. Hope ya'll have a great week.
