Pod Cast this week?

I'm sure you will feel sorry for us after I tell you that we will be in Aulani for the week....on business, of course.:)

Kevin,

I heard that they all speak Spanish at Aulani. I think you should take me so I can interpret for you all, braddah. ;)

I should probably let y'all know that there might not be a show next week or the week after.

Pete, Walter, John and I will be out of town from Wednesday to Wednesday.

Corey, Julie, Kathy, Teresa and Max might do a show....and you never know...we might squeeze one in before we leave....but this is whats going on for the next two weeks.

I'm deputizing everyone reading this thread to let other folks know if anyone asks (panics?;)) about there being a show.

Thanks for keeping us posted, Kevin! I miss the show when you guys aren't able to record, but I certainly understand about life being busy!

Oh thank goodness....I too was a little uneasy fearing an end to podcasts...don't know why.:confused3 But Kevin and John....have a wonderful trip!

I've been having the same feelings. From Pete not feeling like doing a show, to his comments the next show, and then missing the next show... I've been feeling like we are witnessing the death of my favorite podcast. I really hope I'm wrong, but I'm glad to hear I'm far from the only one.

Pete, we miss you. Haven't seen you around here for a while.

Like everyone else, I have missed my favorite podcast. I enjoy the Disneyland show too so that helps, but I never been able to go to Disneyland yet although I would love to some day. I hope everything is going well for everyone & hope to hear from you soon. I am glad to hear about the trip to Aulani. Kevin & John's trip pre-opening was just a "teaser" for them. They need to get to actually enjoy the resort. I look forward to hearing about it. I would love to go maybe next year.

Having experienced the sudden death (so to speak) of another podcast I had grown to love, I too was getting a little worried.

Kim
There are OTHER podcasts????? :confused3 :rotfl2:

I had to bring that up, because I happened to notice a large quantity of other podcasts I had not listened to yet and had tried to catch up on those while waiting for fresh DISUnplugged.

Nothing against the other podcasts, but it's just not the same.

I went back to some of the YouTube videos from the DIS.

Looking forward to more from you guys!

John and I are fine and as far as I know.....everyone else is fine.

I just found out that Pete is having some home renovations done and having us all there would be difficult.

I wouldn't worry about the future of the podcast. We have too much stuff planned and we haven't raised a million dollars for GKTW yet.

Hmmm, maybe it's time to get a studio for recording???? And a bigger round table too :lmao:...Oh, maybe Pete is building an addition to house everyone....just kidding...but it is a thought

Our Disneyland show isn't up yet (hopefully later today), but our topics this week are:

  • Guests, Mary Jo and PrincessChrysty, discuss the first evening Annual Passholder event to be held at Disneyland in quite a number of years.
  • I discuss visiting Walt Disney's final resting place in Forest Lawn Memorial park.

All that and more on our Disneyland Edition of the DIS Unplugged! :thumbsup2

There goes the surprise. ;)

Can't wait! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE DL podcasts!

Request? We need another culinary quest!

For those missing this week's podcast(s), I suggest you head to http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/abd.htm and download the three available podcasts (there are also photos) about Kevin and John's first ABD trip to Italy.

I asked ("nagged") Kevin about these a little bit ago. I had re-listened to the October 10, 2006, Roundtable Podcast (which you can download in iTunes or which is directly available here) after Kevin announced the 2012 ABD Viva Italy trip. During the podcast, the team mentioned that "a more detailed account of their trip will be made available separately for those interested."

The recordings were originally posted on live365 but the links didn't work. Corey has been able to find the first three files (and I'm still hoping he finds the next 3).

In sending me the link, Kevin needlessly cautioned that that these are "5 years old and we were very, very new to the whole Podcast thing." I need not convince this group that Kevin is being far to self-critical. (Kevin forgets that his classic "sad little crab cake" review is even older. ;)) He also said that while there is a lot of talk about "WALKING 5 MILES" (his words), that this has been "cut down considerably by the addition of a motor coach in recent years."

These are not on iTunes. If you want to listen to them on your iPhone/Pod/Pad, you'll need to first download them (remembering where you saved them) and then transfer them to iTunes (click on "file" then "add file to library" and select the files you downloaded). They will not show up under "podcasts" but under "music" unless you change the "media kind" (under "get info" / "options") to "podcast.")

(And forgive me for cross-posting this in the ABD forum.)

I didn't know you could do that in iTunes! You learn something new every day!

Thanks for working that magic for us, Jack!

When Kevin was talking about the glitter in the walls, I kept expecting T to squeal!! :rotfl2:

And here is a snapshot from waaaaaaay back....

Thanks Jack for posting the ABD Italy link. It was perfect timing for me since we are in "planning mode" for an upcoming trip to Rome. I am an itunes listener and would not have come across these otherwise!

Can't wait to hear the next show!

I received your unedited post and I'm left a bit speechless by it.

You have removed it, so I won't comment on the specifics, but I don't know what to say.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but I'm never going to apologize for who we are or what we do.
