So, I've been to Disney three times as an adult, but the first two, my son was too scared to do POC and then in March it was closed for renovations. I have no idea what to expect when we go in August/September. I read in UOG that there is an unexpected drop down a flume. How big is the drop? Is it about the same as the one on the Maelstrom ride in Norway? I don't do big drops like in Splash Mountain b/c I am a ride wimp. Will I be okay on this?

Thanks,

Marsha

Its the same tiny drop that's been a part of the ride for the decades the attraction has been open.

The boats are the same ones as used in "its a small world"... flat, bench seats, no need for any kind of restraint or seatbelt.

The "drop" is nothing to be concerned about.

BTW, DL PoC has two of these drops.

Fa-geta-bou-dit!

Well, I have never been on the ride, even the ONE time I went as a child(we were poor, neglected kids, LOL), so I was totally clueless. Thanks for the info though....

It's a small drop. Maybe a bit bigger than Maelstrom but not by much and it's no where near the size of the one on Splash.
