My dd was saying the "I say potato, you say po ta to, I say tomato, you say tom at o." thing the other day. Is there anyone out there that does say po-ta-to & tom-at-o intead of potato and tomato?

My grandmother's from Massachusetts and she says "padayda" instead of potato. What's funny is she pronounces tomato right.

My grandfather was born and raised in England and he does say both with the English Accent. So yes, people do say that.

Here in Michigan we say the same thing.

However, we're still debating whether we are Michiganders or Michiganians!!! :bounce:
