PO Riverside Busses

We last went to Disney World May 2001, and are going again this June. In May 2001, the busing from the parks to POR was not as good as the previous two times we had been there. We endured long waits(especially when leaving Magic Kingdom), and just wanted to know how things have been recently.

We were there in November 2003 and there was no problem with the bus service. With POFQ opening in March, it could have an affect on the bus service somewhat.

I WAS JUST THERE THE FIRST WEEK IN FEB. AND MY LONGEST WAIT THAT WHOLE WEEK WAS 10 MINUTES.

Timing is everything. Expect short waits during peak travel. Leave earlier or later and the lines are diminished.

We also were just there the 1st week of Feb., and never waited more than 5-10 min.- of course FQ wasn't open then, so that may make a difference.

I am leaving in a couple of hours for 2 nights at POR. Is there a building I should request? I have a std room reservation, so probably a parking lot view, but what is the best buildings to request. i have two small children and myself. thanks!

Ask for a building close to the food court and bus stop (they may give you 14).

Something is telling me that with FQ reopening the "returning" buses from the parks will be effected. ( not sure about the buses going to the parks.)

We stayed at FQ in 99 and have been to POR every year since 2000.

My memory is not the best, but when coming back from the parks, I seem to remember the bus stopping at FQ first then to POR. When it stopped at FQ it was only at the main bus stop. Then on to POR.

But how about going to the parks....can anyone verify this ?
