PO-French Quarter thoughts?

i just Booked the French quarter for 9 nights at AAA rate total of 1,074 sept 10-19 (hoping to get AP rate later on). I have sayed at CSR,CBR, and {POR. my question is it a lot different from Riverside ? Do they have seperate pool and food court? And when AP rates come out do they have fewer since its a smaller area?

They each have a food court but POR also has a sit down restuarant. They each have 2 main pools and you can use the pool at either resort. As for the AP discounts I would say yes there will be fewer because they have few rooms than POR. But if you cant snag an AP rate for POFQ you could always change over to a resort that does have some.

Well of all the resorts you have stayed at the French quarter is the smallest. IMO it's the best. No matter where your room is it will be close to the lobby, pool, and food court. The grounds are very pretty. They also have a boat to take you to downtown Disney which is nice. We really like it becuase it was easy to find everything and much less crowded than other resorts.

We are staying at POFQ in June, our 2nd time there. We love this resort. I originally booked with a AAA rate but watched for the AP rate to come out. The day that happened I called ASAP and did not get the rate. The rooms went really fast. They did have a room at POR but my family really wanted to stay at POFQ so we did not move. I would occasoinly call to see if a room came up and it must have been my 3rd call they had a room available during the time I was there. I don't know if someone cancelled or they realease rooms a few at a times.

thinking about changing from pop to pofq with my 2 grandaughters and their mom and dad .any thoughts or help

For what its worth, my mother steered us away from the Port Orleans for years. ( she works there) Now she says she would like for us to stay there sometime.
