Our In-Laws are joining us for Easter Weekend '03 at WDW and have put me in charge of their resort reservations. Since they are not willing to pay $1,000 for 2 nights at the Polynesian, I'm going to offer them:

PO-FQ at $169/night
Hilton at DTD at $125 / night
DTD Courtyard by Marriot at $107 /night
Best Western Hotel Plaza Blvd at $127 / night

The All Stars are too spread out for my MIL and the rooms are too small. They are $106 / night.

They will have their own car and won't be relying on Disney transportation. Theming is unimportant to them, but resort amenities, like a nice lounge, great pool and good spot for a quick breakfast will be important to them.

Any recommendations? Also, is FQ paved in all cobblestones? Uneven footing could be a problem for my MIL.

Thankls for your input!

First, if there is any active duty or retired active duty, Shades of Green can take care of you.

Government rate at Dolphin/Swan.

I figured some of the downtown hotels would have rates under $100 per night - did you call all of them?

Go with POFQ. Dont worry about the cobblestone. Its not uneven or very bumpy like normal cobblestone is. They may not need the atmosphere at the hotel, but that doesnt mean it wouldnt still be nice to have some. I guess the Downtown Disney site would offer better eating arrangements if thats the most important part of the trip.

if you are looking into the DTD hotels, make sure you check out www.mousesavers.com. there are some good discount codes on that site for some of the hotels.
