I have been reading a lot of posts about the bus situation at PO-FQ. Because we have limited time at Disney and can only allot one day for MK, we feel that EE is CRITICAL for us in order to maximum our time in the park..yet i have read somewhere where people have missed EE waiting for buses! I would say that my one of my primary reasons for deciding to spend the extra money and stay onsite was due to EE becuase of the limited time we have at Disney. Is this a common thing that a lot of people miss EE while waiting for buses? How much should I worry? In true "commando" type thinking, I have attempted to come up with a plan to ensure that I don't have this problem....don't laugh.....I was wondering if it would be possible to get a cab to another resort and catch a bus there to ensure we don't miss EE? Is this permissible or even necessary? Would guests at other resorts glare at us? we certainly don't want to be offensive to other residents by doing this. Any thoughts....

I'm not sure if you would have a probably getting to the park on time for EE or not but, if you do not want to take the chance and you are planning on taking a cab, couldn't you just take the cab to MK directly or isn't that allowed? If not, could you take the cab to TTC and then take the monorail to MK?

We stayed at PO FQ in May and had no problems with the buses (may be we were just lucky?!), we went to EE at MK, got to the bus stop at 6.45 am and there were loads of people, we thought we'd never get a bus and thought we'd be standing in line all morning, however there are now bus controllers at the stops (at least there were then and from what I've heard there still are), their job is to call up buses 'on demand', so as soon as it got to 6.50 am one bus came up, then another and then another - everyone got on the buses with no problems at all.

We did on a previous trip take a cab to the Contemporary and walk to the entrance of MK, it was so easy.

The Buses don't start up until almost 7am (Between 6:45 to 7:00 am) for an EE, also don't take a Cab for going to MK you cant get to the Magic Kingdom Directly by a Cab, They can only drop you off at the TTC then you
would have to take a Monorail in order to reach the MK.

There are now Greeders at the Some selected Resorts
(Port Orleans has greeters at most of the stops) they can't yet call for Buses with their Palm Computers yet Due to Problems with the Magic on Demand Computer
system. But there are also managers (who can call for buses) at the Larger Resorts.:p

You shouldn't have a problem getting an early bus. But if you are really concerned about it you could do what ClareH suggested above. Take a taxi to the Contemporary and walk the short distance across World Drive and along the sidewalk to the MK turnstiles. The taxi will cost somewhere around $10.
