So I'm happy to report that I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Nothing! The pattern had an error in it and that's why it kept messing up. So, now that I have the correct info, I'm moving right along. It was driving me batty!

Time to do some packing! We are off to pick up Kathryn from Camp Celiac tomorrow and then on to WDW! I'm just hoping my feet do OK, otherwise family and friends will be pushing me in a wheelchair....

So I forged ahead on the crocheting project and I don't know what I did but it still looked way funky. Somehow I made a basket. So I ripped it all out and started again. And wouldn't ya know it, I'm right back at the basket. Now she does say in the instructions that it will look weird but keep going. I just don't know if she meant as weird as this.

Everyone needs crocheted baskets-- you should have kept going! My sister is on a weekend 10 store yarn crawl today and tomorrow. It is an organized event among the stores within a 2 hour or so radius of where she lives. Prizes and goody bags and free stuff.

Need to get back to my crochet project of granny squares to make a blanket but been playing Montezuma 2 on my Ipod and put everything else aside.

Gloomy Saturday out there! We are probably gonna get a storm or 2 today. It was kinda weird last night--I was sitting on the couch, watching a DVD of "Castle" when we lost power! I was by myself, in the pitch black. All I kept saying was "crap" as I looked for the flashlight, LOL. Found it, and I was walking back to the living room we got power back. But the 5 minutes it was out was enough for me to have to re-set some things.

I've got lots to do today--my nieces are coming over tonight.

thanks! I'm really looking forward to it. I just don't see them as much as I used to. Sammie is almost 14 now, and Dana is almost 10. They have super busy lives, so they don't have much time to hang out with their old aunt.

I sure do! Well, if you call organizing the storage room, attaching a mirror to and loading a new (to us) oak buffet that I bought from craigslist, and going to an oldies rock lawn concert exciting.

It is all Olympics all the time for us. We are Olympic junkies. We record all we can then watch it later, so we are watching everything from last night right now.

Teva: Beautiful dresses! The girls are going to be so adorable in them.

Need to figure out something for dinner. My girls won't decide if they are going to Youth Group which makes a difference since they eat there if they do.

MF- that sounds like so much fun. I haven't made it to the beach in a while. Long overdue!


So my husband is finally coming home for a visit! Haven't seen him since Christmas. We didn't think he would be home until after September sometime but they extended his contract for another 6 months so he's coming home before that project starts. Of course too I had just talked to member services and they agreed to bank my remaining points this one time. Now I have to take them back because he wants to go to Disney for a few days.

We of course are kicking around me flying back with him so I can visit. I've had to cancel the last two planned trips so hopefully third time is the charm.

Still plugging away on the hat. Started it completely over because I thought it was too small. Getting the hang of it now though!

Today is one of those days I want to tell all the pool members to shove it and assign everyone one of the pitb complainers a position on the board so all of us on the board now can walk out. Let them deal with it. I certainly am NOT getting paid enough.
