MINI GOAL CHALLENGE!

Kaylajr and I have challenged each other to lose a very reasonable 5 pounds by JULY 4. Anyone one else want in on this challenge?



Okay gals and guys. We need support! We all have a lot going on and no matter what-- healthier lifestyles would really help!

Some need to lose a few pounds.

Some need to lose a lot of pounds.

Some need to exercise more.

Some need to drink less.

Some need to drink more (water)

Some need to just work on a healthier outlook.

You can start one if you like or we could just post or daily eating and goals, triumphs and setbacks right here to make it easier for all to see. It would probably make it easier for all to see and comment on.

So here is what I have had to eat today as posted in my journal. I will update as the day goes on.



B: 1/2 Fruit and Yogurt Parfait w/o granola, plain English Muffin with margarine, coffee w/ flavored creamer

L: Wendy's BLT salad with Blue Cheese Dressing, 1/2 Diet Pepsi

S: got busy talking and forgot to eat it. I am starving for dinner. 1 Cheese Stick to hold me until then

D: Chicken Cacciatore from SB site w/ whole wheat pasta and Water

I hear you! I finished the last of the box of 24 Snickers ice cream bars last night :thumbsup2 Makes it easier to start today!

Well I started today so I am posting. You can post whenever you feel like it. But if you tell me you had pizza and ice cream for dinner I may have to find you and KILL YOU! ;)

Cool! Thanks for starting this. DH and I are already eating healthy as of his high cholesterol check a couple of months ago. I have about 35 - 40 pounds left to lose. Today I've eaten a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios with skim milk, a salad with ham, cheese, tomato, and Ranch dressing., A couple of sugar free candies, and tonight pot roast with another salad. As you can probably tell, we are doing a variation on South Beach. DH has lost over 20 pounds. Sometimes I hate him!

OK....I just weighed myself for the first time in months and months...:eek:

So here's what I'm starting now (ok, tomorrow)...

as of tomorrow, no more sugar in my coffee...fake stuff instead. No snacking as of tomorrow...coffee for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and desert on occation...have to get rid of the ice cream). Only sugar free drinks from this point forward. I pulled out the skinless chicken breasts for dinner tomorrow...instead of frying them up and pairing them with fries, I'm going to saute them in olive oil and have them with rice.

When I go to the store this weekend....NO JUNK! We'll add salad as a staple to our diet to fill us up. (told DH he was on a diet too) I'll even get the crappy fat free dressing.

Well unless you are eating a diet pizza and low fat ice cream, then I will make an exception! :rotfl:

I have posted a Mini Challenge in the OP. Try to lose 5 pounds by 4th of July.
 
Oh my! You guys are always just what I need. I happened to see the link in scrappy's sig on another post. I am in! I have totally fallen off all the wagons--water, healthy eating, and excercise since my MS diagonsis. I am joining in and I am taking the challenge. Please just don't make me get one of those little clippie things. I am just not a clippie kind of girl! I will start posting my meals tomorrow. I am going to follow Weight Watchers.
 
I'll even get the crappy fat free dressing.

You know what I find is better? I just put some dressing in a little bowl and dip my fork in it before I fork up some salad. That way I use a little bit. I just can't stand the taste of the fat free stuf. Too chalky and too sour.
 
Hey, this is PMS--no clippy's required. Have we ever had rules about anything? :confused3 :rotfl2: But I like to show off so I might have to add them! :teeth:

I also have found that if I take a few teaspoons of the dressing I like and mix it well with my "extras" on my salad before I add them to the lettuce--like the carrots, cucumbers, chicken, tomatos etc... That covers them in dressing and less is needed to make the whole salad taste good.
 
ok Im in for 5 pounds by July 5th I have anew bottle of hoodia trim :)
I ate watermelon tonight instead of ice cream.
