Hi guys!

I've been around and posted a little yesterday. I was at the Dr. yesterday for a nasty kidney infection, so I'm posting...then dozing off...posting...dozing--one of my med. bottles says it can cause drowsiness. I'll tell you, what a few weeks it's been around here health-wise--my mom's heart issues, ds with pneumonia, my broken ankle and now a kidney infection. Oy! :crazy2:

I did post on a few threads lately, and I was in a very nasty mood when I did. I completely misunderstood a post by In a Hurry, and gave her a snarky response (except for Joe, I'm usually not like that!). I owe her a PM. :guilty:

I'm so glad to see you guys are still having fun! :grouphug:

Sorry you're having a tough time!

If I had time to find a "head over heels with excitement" smilie that I could post over my reaction when I saw your post I'd post it. :teeth:

But alas I just got back from the vet--6 month Sheena check for her pheno blood level, but I forget each time that it has to be 4-6 hours after her medicine and the vet office never reminds me when I make the appt, so I had to leave her there and they will draw her blood in a couple hours, but it will be difficult to draw her blood without me there, more than likely. Now I need to eat lunch and do a quick clean of my house before I go pick Sheena up.

So no time for the head over heels smilie. ;)

In a hurry is a sweetie--I'm betting that she understood!

Hi. How come we are inside Dising when it is so warm and sunny out? :confused3 :rotfl2:

My boss just doesn't seem to understand this. :confused3

Good point. It's a beautiful day here. It was gorgeous when we were at Kings Dominion yesterday.

I'm leaving in a little while to go pick up my meds from the grocery store, bring Jake to Toys R Us, which is by the vet, and then pick up Sheena. Hopefully she won't bite the vet when the vet does the blood draw... The vet was bummed this morning because they were doing an emergency c-section on a cat--the first kitten was born dead and they were trying to revive the other kittens. :(

Hi Luv! :wave2: You have been missed!

I just got back from trading in my old license plate for a new University of Florida one! :cool1:

$55 to frame a screw!!! :faint:
Cheaper than my $81 for renewing my car registration and my new license plate. :rotfl:

Seriously, the framed screw will be sooo cool. Hmmm now I wonder what DH paid to have my Bachelor's Degree framed. Sheesh that must have been a pretty penny.

Hi Debbie! :wave2:

Well, I also brought in two posters from Broadway shows that were signed by everyone in the casts. It is Broadway Cares season, the profits from the posters go to Aids charities. We always buy the posters. They were $65 each, plus tax. He does a really nice job, with two different colors of matting around each poster in a gold frame. :goodvibes

This time I brought in Sweeney Todd and Barefoot in the Park.

Well, they are not Stepford wives (although I do know some of those...) they just are bo-ring. I guess I am just a wee bit selfish. But you know that. You've all 'shopped' with me. :teeth:

What is it with that thread? :rotfl:

I decide on things for my kids and I sure don't base it on what other parents are doing. Reminds me of the parent of someone that my 15yo knows. This mother wanted all of the friends to stop having birthday parties after their 10th birthday because she didn't want to have any more parties after that age, so figured that everyone could do the same so her son wouldn't feel left out. I thought she was crazy.

Everyone makes the decisions that they are comfortable based on their values, what they can can afford, etc, etc. Just because the OP of that thread doesn't want her child to have a cell phone doesn't mean my teens can't have cell phones and just because mine don't have TVs in their rooms doesn't mean that someone else can't.

Don't let her know I am buying a piano and I don't even know how to play :faint:

But you are going to learn, right? I wish I had more time to play my piano. I don't like to play in front of anyone, so DH has to be out of the house.

Of course it's tough to learn to play without one, at least I have yet to figure out a way! :)

There are 4 of us in this house and Gramma bought us a piano...no one plays it. :teeth:

My grandfather bought me my piano. It showed up one snowy day in PA. The piano delivery guys had a heck of time getting that thing up the outside steps and then up the inisde steps. I still have wonderful memories of that day, which is why that piano is still around. One of the few things I have that links me to my family.

Well, DH plays guitar and bass. He played the accordion when he was little. He plans to teach himself with books (he has a good ear and understands music) I don't really think I could learn at this age; I never could understand music even when I was young.

Time for me to go! Have a wonderful evening everybody, see you all tomorrow!!

Wake up!!! :surfweb:

How is everyone today? Boss asked me to come in early, then had nothing for me to do :cheer2:

Let's have some coffee!
