I want in on this plan, I look sweet and innocent but I'm a sneaky little thing. I could come in handy.

I don't think I look innocent. I will have to wear a disguise. :smooth:

Yeah, I keep tellin' him that!! Get this! Last year he was working on a contract basis before he got permanently hired at his job and he had NO vacation time. If he wasn't there, he didn't get paid and since we couldn't afford that, he didn't take time off. So, he didnt' get up there until 10:30 Friday night!!! I pointed out to him that if it were MY family gathering, he never ever in a million years would have gone up on Thursday without me. He says he "might" have. Yeah, right. When pigs fly! We go this evening and come back Sunday. We used to love Sunday because we would go to the pool for a couple of hours before we left and then eat a picnic lunch sitting out there. Got ruined last year though because they all decided to steal our idea and then they took our table!! Seriously, we came to sit down and eat and they were sitting there eating at the table where we had put all our stuff. YOu sure wouldn't do that to strangers! They just bug me.

DH should be home in about half an hour. Woohoo. Let the fun begin. I may need to bring alcohol. Maybe if I am drunk all weekend, I won't care. That will not be good for my calorie count or metabolism though!
Thats the spirit! :thumbsup2 Tie one on and every time they say something stupid to you tell that you are going to file that under I don't give a crap :rotfl:

Julie,
Your DH's family sounds like my DH's. They are so funny, if you're an outsider looking in and you don't have to put up with thier crap. DH has four sisters, he is the oldest. They are a fertile little bunch and between them they have 8 kids under the age of six. Two years ago, his parents planned a trip to Hawaii. The whole family was going, we had to pay for airfare and his parents would cover the condos- sounds like a decent deal right? WRONG, Dh's parents got a two bedroom condo for all of us- there are 20 people in the family. I told my DH that I would love for him to go, but me and the kids were staying home- because honestly I think that really is what hell would be like. We all stayed home. They came home and three weeks later his oldest sister announced that she was PG and that they had convieved in Hawaii :scared:.
This year it was a trip to Disneyland. I love Disneyland, but again it was the whole condo thing. This time they got a four bedroom condo . We stayed home and are awaiting the announcment of when the next baby is due :p

edited to add: after all my ranting, I should tell you to have a good trip :rotfl: .
How the heck did they conceive in a 2 bedroom with 20 people :confused3

Awwww Becky, :grouphug: That sucks. Unfortunately, in most states it's perfectly legal. It's called "right to work" and it usually means anyone can be let go for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, especially during a probationary period. And there is rarely any recourse for the employee. It's way too much power in the hands of the employers and sometimes they wreak total havoc on our lives. I'm so sorry. Definitely look into it and see if you happen to live in one of the few states where you'd have a case.

I'm finishing up baking for Dh's boss. My house smells like nutmeg and chocolate chips. I was toying with the idea of sending all my best gal pas here baked goodie care packages for christmas but now I'm not so sure. All the mixing is killing my shoulder :guilty:

My niece is pregnant with their 9th child--her 8th pregnancy (he had a prior). I think all he has to do is to look at her and she gets pregnant.

This is how all of my DH's sisters are. I'm thinking about giving them all blacked out sunglasses for Christmas. It's so ironic that we have fertility issues (who am I kidding calling our fertility problems issues is like saying the ocean is a nice little lake), here he is in a family of fertile little buggers and then there us. All we can do is sit back and watch popcorn:: .

myself and my cousin will do the driving :teeth: we have done these trips before so this is nothng new :rotfl2: I have worked for the guy in Fort Lauderdale before, he has a really nice yacht !! :cool1:
we took it to Freeport on a weekend dive trip about 4 yrs ago, that was fun because we got to dive the morning we left comeing back :thumbsup2

My niece's brother and his wife have fertility issues. Finally had one baby (not sure what all they had to go through to have him), but he will likely be an only child since they cannot afford to spend the money for more children like they did for him. And to make matters worse, they are LDS, so besides his sister having more children than she's able to take care of, they are surrounded by people with large families. I know it must be tough on them. Oh, and to make it much worse, a year or two ago, my niece and nephew's dad (my sister's ex husband) died of Pick's disease, which is a genetic disease similar to alzheimer's, and they may be carriers. My niece knew this when her last 2 kids were conceived. :sad2:

Johnny Depp is on the Letterman show tonight for all you JP fans.

T&B, I"m LDS too, and I have a great aunt and uncle who have 14 kids!! I think that is ridiculous. There is no way you could ever give those kids enough one on one attention The older kids end up raising the younger ones. We had 5 kids in my family, and I felt like THAT was a lot.

Hi Stephanie and Teva! :wave2:

I'm heading off to bed. Have a great night, PMSers!
