MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

Thank you for all the beautiful cards!

If I didn't send you one, I'm sorry! I never finished this year

Good afternoon! Had a good breakfast...I had Paradise French Toast, which had coconut (don't read that part, Lara), banana, and raspberry sauce. Very good! Did a little shopping at the mall (didn't buy anything, just walked around) and then went to Trader Joes and Circuit City. I need to go buy kiwis at the grocery store (they always go in stockings) and Ron said that we need to go to the liquor store. :confused3 So I might be back out the door in a little while.

I just asked DH about the liquor store and he told me that we don't need to go there. I asked him what it was he said we needed and he said that he didn't say anything about the liquor store. WTH? I told her that he had and he then asked when. Uh, it was yesterday... He then said that it was a certain kind of liquor for a drink. So he did remember, but was playing games again. I hate this kind of attitude. This is very typical of him...he'll say one thing and then "forget" it and act like I'm saying something that he didn't say. But then it becomes obvious that he hasn't really forgotten. :sad2:

Oh Tig, I have me one of those...idiot DHs! :headache:

OK, I am renting out some DVC points you all. So, if people start showing up over hear asking if I am trustworthy, tell them I am! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Seriously, if anyone showed up and did ask, I do need references that they can trust me with their money! :cool2:

Hi guys!!!

I am trying to not be busy today. It's working okay other than that I had to go the store because SOMEONE didn't make sure mommy was gettting stocking stuffers. Y'know I try not to let this bug me but sometimes I would actually like to get a present I like without either having to buy it myself or tell someone else to go shopping (and then pretend I like the gift.)

Even my MIL does this. She demands a list every year. I work hard adn come up with one. She then decides she doesn't like anything on my list and wants other ideas. This year I am getting a new set of pots and pans. Even though what I really wanted was a Rachel Ray cookbook and some Bath and Body Works stuff.

Julie, I don't blame you about your stocking! That's the fun of it--seeing the little surprise doodahs. And that's strange about your MIL...shouldn't it be about what you would like? Why does she ask for a list if she isn't going to get what you put on it? It's not as if you asked for anything extravagant.

Ok, ready as I will ever be for the party, having a drink then go freshen up. ITS HERE:yay:

Hi! :wave2:

I got my package from Tiff today. :yay: It's awesome.

I'm getting ready to make lasagna for dinner. I'm so excited that I am completely done with everything else. I just have to make dinner and breakfast tomorrow. Everything is ready for Santa, with the exception of one item that may need a little assembly, which is not my job. :woohoo:

This is the most prepared I have ever been for Christmas. It's kinda scary.

Tig--that is the question of hte ages for MIL. She does that with the kids a lot of times too. And the kicker is that I hate making lists. I feel like I am just handing someone a shopping list. I could just do that myself. In fact, when DH and I were shopping Black Friday I almost bought a pan set and then I put it back figuring I would just tell MIL about that. Last year I got a Kitchen Aide mixer. don't get me wrong--it's nice. But I didn't want one. She has this thing about spendind a certain amount of money and it has to be on one thing. Okay, then just give me the cash and I will go buy my own stuff. At least that way I can get stuff I want!:rotfl:

You are so right, Julie. When giving presents it should be about the person recieving them, not what the giver wants. That's a bit wacked. Look at it this way--you're learning how NOT to be a MIL. Yeah, it would be nicer if you were learning how to BE a MIL from her, but at least there is a lesson to be learned. ;)

My MIL can't afford to be generous, but she's always sent a little check for birthdays, even to me. It really is the thought that counts in that case. Keep in mind that she's a big cause of my holiday depression and thinks that I should never do anything for Christmas, but she does have her redeeming qualities.

Good job, Robin! :yay:

So tell me, Robin, how expensive is the cost of living in the Orlando area? I want to move somewhere warm.

Have fun, Angel!

The doorbell rang, and I thought I was going to get to say the jersey is here, but it's just boxes from mom.

:scared: :scared: :scared: You have to put the warning BEFORE the horrible part of the post....eeewwwww!

Went to 4:00 mass, it was packed. Just waiting for my potatos and brussle sprouts to finish cooking.

I still have to make a cake, but I'll do that after the kids are in bed (it's for tomorrow).

OK...let me be sociable with the family.
