Hello.

I'm pouting because you all are going to get to meet and have fun and I'm not!:sad2:

It's not too late to change your mind! You'd have SO much fun and could even come down for just the weekend if that's all that worked out. :yay:

I have it, Tiffer...we just need to remember to make the call. :rotfl:

I am in the pouting corner with Pixie! :guilty:

Yeah, I don't think I am pregnant. But this is starting to drive me nuts!

You can come down for the weekend, also, Amie! :cool1:

I don't blame you for that driving you crazy. Been there, done that, and it's not fun!

OK, so I am downstairs on the main computer and Tiffers siggy has a little picture of Tower of Tower and a ticker. ON the laptop, the ToT picture is HUGE, so I only see a tiny bit of it and there is not ticker at all. Everyone elses siggies look the same on both puters. :confused3 :headache:

Wierd, MM.

I have looked into it, Tig. Believe me. I just don't think it is going to work. DH is going to Tampa on Sunday and won't be back until Friday night. Sure, he gets a trip to Florida, but I am stuck here. Where in the world is that fair? ;)

Well, I could promise to have no fun. Um.........but I'd be lying.

Okay, funny teacher story. My class is waiting to go to the restroom, but some 3rd graders are in there. Actually, my class was in line to go, and some of them had gone, and then 3rd grade teachers let theirs come unsupervised and they just go in without regard for our lines.......but anyway, the third graders were in and were taking a while, so I opened the bathroom door and there was a cluster of girls just talking with all these open stalls. So I told them to get out so the second graders could go. All did immediately, actually they started before I said anything, I have a reputation. ;) All but one. She started to go into a stall. I told her no. She obviously didn't need to go, or she would have. She had made my kids wait, she needed to come out now. So then the sink to wash hands is in the hall, all started towards it and I said no, you didn't go, you don't need to wash hands. All went back to class.........but one. You guessed it, the same one that didn't listen before. She reached over and got some soap and told me, "I have soap already". I looked at her, took a paper towel, took her hand, wiped the soap off her hand, and said, "Nice to meet you, I'm Mrs. Vz, ask your friends about me." :lmao: She glared at me, turned on her heel and stalked off to class.

Love it, Paige! And let it be known that I am officially scared of you! :scared1: ;)

OK, my second percocet seems to be kicking in a little and I almost feel human again. Life is good!

Awww, we will be thinking of you. Give me your cell and I will drunk dial you. :)

Better yet give ME your phone number and I will sober dial you and then pass it around to the drunks!!! I wonder how many drunk dial wrong numbers we will have??

Umm, 'splain this!? Did you tutor a kid that wasn't supposed to be there, but really was there?

We have an after school enrichment program that kids who need more attention, I guess you'd say, are invited to. Most of my tutoring kids are in it. They have it every day, and on my tutoring day, they come with me instead of their homework class. So I picked them up. I have two that aren't in it, and I wondered why they weren't there.

It's a good program. We bus them to a nearby church and feed them dinner as well.

Woo Hoo..my first drunk dial:woohoo: Maybe LTS should be in charge of the dialing.;)

I wish I could...just not going to be able to swing it.

We will be pouting buddies.

That is so sweet Vz. Tell that to the teacher bashers.

Wow, that is a great program!

Left a message for Linda, but haven't heard back from her.
Finally got through to the hospital and spoke with my Mom's nurse in the CCU. They're trying to get her off the respirator, but no success yet. Maybe later today or tomorrow. I told the nurse to tell my Mom that we love her and are thinking of her.

I just keep thinking that hopefully in 1 week from tonight I'll be getting on an airplane and having a fun week with all of you before going to visit my Mom. I'm just hoping and praying that nothing happens to her between now and then. And of course the guilt is setting in that I'm leaving the girls at a time when they really need me.

Oh, they'd probably ask if we get paid to do it and when we say we get hourly for the program, they'd say well then we are compensated so why should we expect sainthood from it? I can hear them now. BTW, the dinner is all done through volunteers, teachers, church parishioners, and neighborhood people. Food donated by the food bank.

I'll tell you this though, it's nearly November and I haven't turned in a time sheet yet. I don't do tutoring and homework help for the money. I do it because they need it.
