With lots of new W.I.S.H. members, lots of new DISers, and brand spanking new PM buddies (thanks, Jiminy102!), I was thinking that some of us might not know how to check their Private Messages. I would hate to think that you could have wonderful mail from your W.I.S.H. friends that you might not know about!
If you're online when a new PM is sent, you get a little pop-up box that notifies you. But if you're not online when it's sent, you need to go look for your messages.
At the bottom of the main DISboards page (the one with the We Support Our Troops banner), there's a section called "Private Messages." This will show how many new PMs, unread PMs, and total PMs you have in your PM folders. You can click the link here and it will take you right to your Private Message inbox.
You can also click on the "User CP" link at the top of the screen from anywhere, then click on "Private Messages" and you're there.
There are lots of DIS veterans here that know how to use this stuff a whole lot better than I do. So if you have a question or problem getting or receiving your Private Messages, just post a question and I'm sure we've got some experienced DISers who will be glad to steer us in the right direction!
