I just had a PM that said "This PM was cancelled by the sender, please delete from your inbox".

I deleted it and contacted the sender to make sure the sender intended to delete it but I've never had a message like that before?

How do you cancel a PM after it's already sent?

When in your PM box, if you go to "message tracking" you can click the box next to the PM and then click on the button below that says "Cancel"

This can only be done if the PM hasn't been read.

I did it accidently once. I was cleaning out my PM box, and deleted the message I had sent, before the person received it. She got a message saying I had cancelled it.

Yeah, what Elaine (helenabear) said. I bet I know who cancelled the pm to you Esmerelda.:teeth: She does it to me pretty often too.:p

So, suppose you tried to read a message that was cancelled, could you still read it? I sent a question via pm to someone after a trip and after 2 wks of not reading my message I went into tracking and said to delete it but I thought that meant I was deleting the tracking of said message, not the actual message.

Disney4us2002, the receiver can't retrieve the pm after it was cancelled. If you still have it in your pm tracking, you can uncheck the delete checkbox and the recipient can retrieve it (unless they've checked to delete the message, then I think it is deleted from your pm tracking).

There's two buttons in tracking. One says end tracking and one says cancel. The end tracking clears it from your tracking queue but can still be read. The cancel button cancels it and it can no longer be read.
