Plz clarify---getting the CP roommate YOU choose???

Please clarify (I know it must be here on the board somewhere---can't find it tho)
Tell me if this is right please. If you find someone you want to room with, don't you just meet up before checkin and tell them that you want to room together. You don't have to put it on the roommate match site, do you? You can wait until you get down there, right?

Pretty sure that roommate matching is the only SURE way to get your desired roommate. My arrival date is not eligible for roommate matching so I'm just going to show up to check in with the person I want to room with and I've heard that they try and take your request into consideration as much as possible.

Nothing is ever completely certain, but if you show up to Check-In together, you will be able to room together. Get there as early as possible so you can get the room type you want. But yeah, I wouldn't worry too much. You should be fine. And if you are worried, then do the roommate matching thing online.

Roommate matching is handy if you can't both be there at the same time (for instance if someone is flying in the morning of, or has weather delays the day before) that way you know that you're locked in with that person
