Pluto, Scrooge and Darth have had a number of fun trips to Disneyland. We know the park, we love the park and we even kind of love California Adventure!! We have stayed onsite and offsite, and believe it or not, offsite is closer to the entrance!!!!

BUT, MY BIG DREAM is to go to WDW!!! I have every WDW planning VHS and DVD since 1995!!! I figured we would never get to the World of Dis, but enjoyed pretend planning. I even helped host a message board (on a different web site) just to live vicariously through people going to WDW!!

FINALLY, the stars were aligned, the bank account was flush, the vacation time was there and the constant nagging at Scrooge made him say the words, the words I have been waiting for, "Sure we can go to Epcot" He thinks that is all WDW is really, LOL!!!!!

Soooooo off to the planning boards, the booking websites and the trip was ON! I booked us quickly at Port Orleans Riverside for April 1-5. I am a teacher, so Spring Break was the only time we could go, plus my 29th (cough cough) birthday is April 8!!! I booked ADR's, I booked golf for the Scrooge, hoping that would hook him up with other Scrooges and help them bond in the Scrooge way!! I bought books, planned on paper and pixels and now am at 21 days and counting!!!

Our Cast of Characters:

Pluto is me, pushing 50 and loving all things Disney
Scrooge is the DH, also pushing 50, NOT loving Disney, but he loves me!!!
Darth is our DS, age 12 1/2, a DL veteran and my co-planner on this trip!?!

More to come after dinner, Scrooge is cooking (yes, he has some wonderful redeaming qualities!!)

Pluto is a planner, and Pluto has probably planned way to much for a first time visit to WDW, during pre Easter time, with only 4 nights!! BUT I will try to see some of everything, and be prepared to not do some things.

We are staying at POR, 4 nights, hopefully visiting all 4 parks, but I am seriously doubting that this is doable. My goal then is Epcot, AK, MK, DTD and if time, MGM. We have been to Disneyland many times, and can spend a few hours at MK and do a few things and we will be happy. Scrooge won't even be with us there, except for lunch, as he will be golfing with the other Scrooges.

Day One: arrival. Plane lands at 3pm, so it seems we won't be at resort until let's say 5pm. This is our flexible night, I do not have ADR's as I do not know how we will feel. Possibly we will just hang out at resort or head to DTD for CS dinner or go to Poly or Grand Floridian or MK.

Day Two: Epcot day. Scrooge and Darth will spend hours in Innoventions, while I can shop and look at the gardens. We can skip Soarin if we have to, though I love that ride. Test Track and Mission Space (wimp side for all of us) are our must do's. Then to World Showcase for lunch and the afternoon, visiting as much as we can. Then we head to Darth's choice Coral Reef for early dinner. By then I'm sure Scrooge will be ready for a break, so I figure I can drop him off at the Pub in England for a few, while Darth and I do some investigating to find a spot to watch Illuminations. I think we will stay as long as we can after to not have to deal with the crowds. Maybe we can ride monorail around and see resorts???

Day Three: AK day. I have not planned this day down to the minute, though I think we will head to EE, then over to Africa to the safari. Our day here will be exploring and not spending time in shows. I would like to see the Lion King, but if we have to miss something, that will be it. Lunch will be at either Tusker House or Flame Tree, and we have ADR's for Boma for early dinner. The plan is to head to Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf via either Epcot or MGM. Then back to resort, pool time.

Day Four: Scrooge Golf, Darth and Me, MK. We will get there at rope drop, and do all the must do's as time allows. The mountains, Buzz Lightyear, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan if we can, Tom Sawyers and if we have time anything else. We have 12:45 lunch at Tonys, so I think we will be pushing it to do more. Then off to the resort for some down time before DTD and ADR's at 7pm at Raglan Road. This is where I think I am over doing. My plan is to head to MGM for late hours and do what ever rides we can do, Rockin Roller Coaster, Star Tours, Animation... I think this may not happen, I'm sure Scrooge and Darth will be ready to just chill at the resort.

Day Five: Departure. Our flight leaves at 2, so I assume we will not have time to do anything other than hang out at resort. So I think we will have breakfast at Boatwrights if we have a TS left, or CS at POFQ. Play in pool, pack and go.

Soooooo my pre trip planning is ongoing, so if you have any input, please do so.

Thanks, only 21 days and counting

Please do not miss the Festival of the Lion King in Animal Kingdom. I have been to Disney World once yearly for the last three years. The only "Must Do" for my family (especially me) is the Festival of the Lion King. This is an amazing show.

I really want to see that show, and I think we can! It will be our only show, as we really are ride people (except Scrooge, who likes dining!).

Thanks for the vote for Lion King!!!

Sounds fun. I am glad you finally get to go. The time is drawing near. Just how excited are you? Bouncing off the walls excited? Can't sleep excited?
Hope there is A TR when you get back.
