Plushenko's "Commitment to a Delusion"

We noticed that before he even skated, in his montage talking about his life story, he referred to his competitors as "enemies". A little foreshadowing perhaps?

I saw that segment and thought that it was ungracious and completely contrary to the Olympic spirit for him to call his competitors "enemies." On another note, I read that Plushenko has been named one of the ambassadors of the upcoming Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Gymnastics sourpuss Svetlana Khorkina is also an ambassador for the Games. Perhaps Plushenko and Khorkina can welcome the world with their baskets of sour grapes.

Except for seeing how you can put a positive spin on enslaving most of your populace for centuries before then turning them into destitutes in the name of the elite few via interpretive dance during the opening ceremonies... hmmm...


Whiney Boy is lucky he got the silver after the crappy performance he put in during the final skate with all of those bobbled landings. I can't recall more than a couple that were clean. Going for maximum level of difficulty points and missing most of the jumps should not equal high points. Quality still needs to count for something.

Yeah, he definitely resembles Elliott... I don't see any resemblance to Perry.

He thought if he just showed up, landed a quad the gold would be his. After not training with olympic intensity for 3 1/2 years, he wasn't polished or conditioned like the other were. Or maybe the mullet was slowing down his spins...

He should have been sent home for behavior "unbecoming of an Olympian". He really is a poor sport. My favorite part fo the Olympics, besides winning a medal, is the way the athletes congratulate each other after their performance. I think that it is wonderful. We are not all "enemies".
Evan was so gracious inthe interview with Bob Costas. You just knew that Bob wanted him to say something bad about Plushenko, but he is above that. Evan is a true Olympian.

No kidding!!! I have to say, and maybe this is bad - but when I see those athletes from places like Russia and China, I can't help thinking how they were most likely plucked from a group of children and told "you WILL be an Olympian!". ((Shivers)) Gives me the creeps!!
