Just a question- we are leaving in 30 Days!!! We are going to purchase 10 day MYW tickets w/hopping and plus. Does anyone know why the plus option maxes out at 6? That is crazy. If you buy a 1 day ticket and add plus you get 3 pluses, but I only get 6 for 10 days? Makes no sense. In past trips we always purchased the 'Lenght of Stay' pass and had the option to go whenever/where ever we wanted. This allowed for some 45 min trips into DQ while naps were being taken or in younger days going to PI every night of a trip. Now we will have to be very careful when trying to plan DQ, PI or any water park. I know that the longer stay tickets cheaper at the end of the stay but I feel like I am getting ripped off. Thoughts---

My understanding is that you can use the plus options on days other than the 10 park days if you want. So, for us it is a better deal. We can do a water park as one of the plus options and it won't count as one of our regular park days. We can use the rest of the day to take it easy, shop, see a movie, etc.

Does anyone know for sure if the plus options can be used on days other than your park days? I've seen that info here a couple of times, but no one seems certain and that really just sounds too good to be true. If it is true then I bought my tickets for too many days thinking that using plus options would take a day off my ticket even if I don't go to a major park that day. :confused3

They sure can. We used tickets this way on our last trip by going to a water park and nowhere else one day, so I guess I can say for certain. :)

The best way to think of it is that you have X number of park days and y number of Pluses and the two are independent of each other and treated differently.

With the park days, you can either go to one of the 4 major parks (without hopper option) or all of them (with the hopper option) on each day. With the Pluses, you can go to a water park, Disney Quest, or Pleasure Island. You can use Pluses on the same day as a park day or on a separate day. You can also use more than one plus in a day - theoretically, you could go to a water park in the morning, DQ in the afternoon, and PI at night, using 3 Pluses that day.

If you have the 10-day plus 6 pluses ticket and do not have the non-expiration option, you do have to be careful to use the ticket completely by 14 days after your first use if you want to use everything you paid for, which would require at least one overlap. (16 'credits' total, 15 days.....)

Wow- thanks for letting me know. I'm glad it was just a few dollars difference between a 5 day and a 7 day pass. At least I only spent a little extra. Maybe we will just have to stay a day or two longer...hmmm... :stir:

Well, don't forget that purchasing the plus option costs a flat $50, whether you have a 1 day MYW ticket or a 10 day MYW ticket.

So those 6 plusses are each costing you about 8 bucks, whereas if you'd purchased a 1 day ticket, you'd be paying $17. The tickets all need to be used in 14 days, so it's hard to see how anyone could realistically hit 10 theme parks and 6 pluses in 14 days, which I think is WDW's logic.

I realize the cost/plus option is much less but, I still feel that the plus is lacking on a 10 day purchase.
For example on this trip there will be 4 adults, 2 5 year olds and 2 2 year olds.

On most days the 2 year olds will need naps, the 5 year olds not. Staying at SSR, on any of those nap days we could take the older kids to DQ, with the 4 of us adults, we will actually be able to go out for an 'adult evening' including some time at PI and of course we want to go to the water parks all together. We will have to carefully plot it all out so we are not faced w/ running out of plus options-I can see offering the additional pluses on the lower day tickets-but for a long stay getting 1 plus/day would not be a stretch.
