Plunging elevators, runaway trains, speeding cars...BRING IT ON!2011!

LOL Pam, Chris is the same way. He says just tell me where to go when, and he's happy!! Every once in a while when I"m talking food, he'll mention something....but other than that, as long as he gets to do his favorite things, then he's happy!!!

I hope Anthony goes with ya'll, he looks like he'd be fun!! But, he's at that age....it's hard to take him out of school, etc. I know, I'm getting there with Tyler LOL Whenever ya'll decide to go, let me know and I'll see if I can pop out there for a day or so. Sound good? :) No worries about the FL heat...after about 90 with 60% humidity, it all feels the same!!! HAHAHA

Yeah, Manny really doesn't want anything to do with planning. Not just for Disney trips, with anything! He just wants to do it. How nice huh!

That would be great for you guys to plan a day trip to meet up! I'll post the minute I have definite dates for sure! You're so lucky with all of your trips to Disney! And, I'm just not going to worry about the heat. We're just going to go and make the best of it. I'll have a good plan and know what to expect! We're definitely doing the regular ddp this time so we'll have that time everyday to relax too.

It's hot, don't get me wrong, but with a few of them mister fans, and LOTS of AA batteries for them, it's tolerable. We drank SOOOOO much water, and took swim breaks and stuff, and it wasn't TOO bad, but that was the end of June. October will be hot, and of course all this lotions I gotta wear now makes it hotter, and makes me feel slimy!!! I hate it, but gotta wear it!!

Hey! Pam
beautiful wedding pictures!!! so glad everything turned out wonderful!!!
looking forward to planning along for your next disney trip of magic

Oh, I'm sure it is hot!!!! We have misting fans and I know we'd need to drink A LOT of water. And we aren't stay in the park from open til close people anyway. We actually only did that once on our last trip at AK. We always came back to the hotel for pool breaks, so that will not be an issue. And I would absolutely LOVE to try the deluxe dining plan after reading your TR. I think it would be great to have that in august. It will give us something to do in the super HOT afternoons and we can bang out all of the characters at the meals so we don't have to stand in any lines!

Thank you!

So for anyone who read my TR you know Manny is worse than the kids when it comes to buying things. Well, that wasn't just in Disney. It's all the time. It does drive me crazy, but... hey!

So when Manny is unattended with the kids, which is of course while i'm at work, anything can.... be bought :scared1:

They had to run to walmart, so while they were there he figured he'd pick up a toy story couch for lizzie and sam.

2010_0727AS.jpg

Oh, that's not it, they need new sheets and pillowcases! Lizzie went with Toy Story and Sam went with Princess Tiana. Then about a week later he bought Cinderella's coach from QVC. Yes he was watching and shopping off of QVC while I was at work. :headache: The coach is very cute. It goes together with a velcro latch to be a tent, or it comes apart to make 2 separate coaches. So they usually put them facing each other and pretend they're in they're own coach. I gotta get a pic of that. But right now they're using them with their toy story couches/beds.

So when we went to Disney last year we did the Quick Service Dining plan! We loved it of course, there was sooo much food, 2 QS meals a day, plus 2 snack credits, and a refillable mug/person. We used snack credits for breakfast items like bagels, muffins etc... and then still had snack credits for ice cream etc... On the day we left we still had 7 QS meals left and 36 snack credits. SO much food!

BUT!!! We are definitely going with the regular ddp this time. I cannot wait to do character meals and Sci Fi is one that i'm looking forward to the most. We'll definitely buy the refillable mugs, after using them I can't imagine being without them. We would have had to use snack credits for drinks in between our meals ? The mugs are well worth every penny!!!!

I'm pretty sure our trip will be 8 nights, so I have 8 Restaurants picked out:

Planet Hollywood: We are going to do DTD the night we arrive this time, and that's really the only rest. down there that my picky kids will eat at. We don't eat seafood.

Crystal Palace
Sci Fi
Chef Mickey's
Whispering Canyon
Yak and Yeti
Akershus (for breakfast)
Garden Grille

So 4 character meals and 4 regular meals! I"m pretty set on most of them, but i'm thinking my mind could change about Planet Hollywood. I may want to switch that out for another that i'd rather do more, we'd just have to travel over to DTD when we're done!
My mind could also possibly change about Yak and Yeti? I may want to switch that for either Donald's breakfast or another one before we go back to AK after our pool break?

All of the others "should" stick around :rolleyes1 But ya never know!

Has anyone ever eaten at Planet Hollywood. I don't read many TRs with that rest in them. I'd love to hear some opinions. I'll go check the dining board too. I mean the food looks good on the menu. But does it taste good.

Hey Pam!!

Yep, Planet Hollywood is always the first stop when Victoria and I go to Disney, although I must admit you are really going for the atmosphere more than the food. Oh, the food is good, but nothing really special for the price. It's a really cool place to eat!

Oh, thanks, I feel much better about it. It definitely looks neat! And if we're going to do DQ and then walk around DTD it would be very time consuming to go somewhere else for dinner and then come back.

Oh, I priced out our park tix today. If we go in August (which it's looking more promising that that will be the month, Lizzie will be 10.

6 day tix with water park option for the 6 of us. (5 adults and 1 child) $1860:scared1: Oh boy, I really hope free dining will be offered! We gotta save somewhere.
I'm also going to price out 1 day base ticket with our package and then a 5 day water park thru AAA. I work for them,so they have a nice employee price. Just to see if that works out cheaper. I'll do that tonight when I go to work and let you know what it comes out to be for us!

Those dinner plans look good Pam. So August huh? Yea, let me know and I'll meet you out there for a day or so. If Anthony is there, he may get along with Tyler really good. Tyler's 12, well, will be 13 at the time. So the boys can hang LOL I'm hoping to have my AP's back by then, but we'll see. Definedly have to plan a day. I had alot of fun with Leanne and Dana!!!

Yes, that would be great! I would love to meet up. Manny does think that Anthony would want to come with us if we went over the summer. So, we'll talk to him next week and then we'll have our decision.

August isn't my first pick... or second....or third.. :lmao: But we'll make do so we can all go together. And free dining is a perk, so that makes me happy! That makes my bank account happy :goodvibes

If Anthony comes with us we will be staying in the All Star Music suite. That is the only place that can sleep all 6 of us for a reasonable price. Last trip we did 2 connecting rooms at Movies, but we would definitely choose the suite this time, mainly for the little kitchen area. It will be very nice to clean out the mugs there and fill up our mugs at night and have a cold drink in the morning. Also, all of those grapes and cookies that were left over from all of our meals, we could put them in the fridge for later. It will be nice, plus it's something different from just a regular looking hotel room.
We will request the Calypso building. Which is the building closest to the food court/lobby (The suites are in Calypso and Jazz) We want to be looking at the pool too. I'll put that in my request.

If Anthony does not come, it's cheaper for us to stay at a moderate :rolleyes1 I know, crazy! So we will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, which I would be extremely excited about. We would request building 14, that is the building closest to the food and pool! You can see what our priorities are! We are lazy :rotfl: I love that fact that you can take a water taxi to DTD from POR, that sounds so nice!

I'll be happy with either one! The good thing about the ASMu is that everything is right there. Room, pool, food, bus stop. With Por, depending on what building you get, things could be a walk away. I would love to just open the door to our room and walk right out to the pool. But I would also love to be at POR, so pretty!

We shall see next week when we ask Anthony!

Ok, i'm off to do laundry and clean the house. Tomorrow is Anthony's bday party and then sunday morning we are leaving for our camping vacation. I absolutely cannot wait. Tonight is my last night at work and i'll have 11 days off! I also have to get some more packing done.

Well, listen to you now....your trip is a year away and you already have it all decided on!! That's my buddy!!! Maybe we'll just have to go in August next year, too!! Hee Hee!!! Victoria wants to go to Quebec, but she doesn't quite get that yes, there is family history there, but really not much else to do fun. She would have to enjoy history a lot more than she currently does before a trip to Quebec would be fun. Besides that we would need passports at $200 or so a piece. Ugh!! Yes, Disney is much better! And yes, I could go every year and be happy. Some people just don't understand that. Silly people!! So, are you camping at a lake? How's married life? :goodvibes

Like I said before, we've gone to Disney twice in August and felt it had about the same crowds as when we go in May. I don't know if free dining affects crowds or not because we can't take advantage of the free dining deals. Our school starts before free dining does.

It would be really good if Anthony would decide to go with ya'll. Would he not be able to go if you traveled in May? I probably missed it somewhere but maybe that's when your Spring Break is.

If I don't get to check back in with you before you leave on your camping trip, I hope that you have a good time. Take pictures so you can post 'em.

Hi, Pam!! I did NOT know that you started this! So excited!!
Some ideas:
1) We loved T-Rex in DTD!! The menu was huge, so I'm sure your kids could find something. Not on the dining plan, unfortunately, but we loved the atmosphere and the food was REALLY good!!
2) August is a GREAT time to go-- seriously! Crowds are low, I'm sure free dining will come out, and it's honestly not THAT hot. I didn't notice a difference from Orlando compared to the humid summers we get up in the Northeast. Hotel prices are at their lowest. We love going at this time of year!!

Oh yes! We got this all planned out. Well, the all star music suite is the only way to go for us if the 6 of us are there, and if Anthony doesn't come we were happy with POR for this september so would definitely do that.
Quebec huh? Well it is fun to travel to all different places..... but, if you did Disney again that would be even better......especially in August

I'm starting to be ok with the thought of going in August. And that's right if we go in May (which is not school break) Anthony would not want to miss a week of school. Our break is in April, but prices are SO high at Disney and in 2011 our April break is Easter week, hence the HIGH prices!
But, the catch.... we are not sure Anthony wants to go at all. We're thinking if we say we'll go in August he will want to come, we are going to talk to him this week.

WooHoo thanks for joining! Yes, i'm starting to think that even if Anthony doesn't want to go, which I hope he does, we'll still go in August. That free dining is calling me :yay:

I didn't know that you started your PTR. popcorn::

Love the wedding pictures. Beautiful! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear more about your plans. :surfweb:

So today was my first vacation day! Ah! But, not relaxing yet! We got up pretty early and I took all of the kids with me while Manny went to get the pizza and cake for Anthony's party.
Anthony wanted to go into the mall to buy a hat for vacation, so he did that, he already had some bday money racked up!
Then we went to our super walmart and finished the food shopping for camping. Our fruits, veggies, meats, and lunchmeat. After that we came home and cleaned up, set up balloons outside and my neighbor's son Alex came over to hang out. He's 4 and my girls just adore him. I do too. He calls me Mom, I think that's so cute. He hears my girls call me all day long, he doesn't really hear my name called so to him, i'm "mom" Anthony decided that we woke up early and already did too much, so he napped.

They played with all of the balloons while I set everything up.

I woke up Anthony right before 3, which is when everyone was due to come over. Here he is texting, minding his own business and Sam is pretending she's going to poke him with a stick :rotfl:

We had a very nice night. I was bummed that my nieces weren't there, one of them was sick, so they stayed home. That definitely would have made the day perfect..... not that it wasn't.

HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY ANTHONY!!!!! I love him so much. Sometimes I look at him and I still see a little boy and sometimes I see a teenager and almost a man. It's so interesting, sad, and great at the same time as our kids get older. And although they grow everyday, it's usually their birthdays that remind us that they are getting closer to being adults. Very scary. Manny's sister said tonight "2 more years and you'll be driving" I wanted to throw up. I'm not ready for that, i'm not ready for them to grow up, get jobs, go away to college. I know everyone must feel the same way and I know i'm still a ways off for that, but when we look back we always say time flew. I can still hear his little voice calling me and asking me to come play or asking me to watch him do a magic trick. One day I was in a store, he was 4 and Emily was 1. He told me he could do a magic trick. He told me to put Emily in the shopping bag and she would disappear. He was still in that I don't want a little sister, I want to be the only 1 stage, even though he already loved her. She was still pretty new. It certainly makes me NOT want to wish this year away just to go back to Disney. I'll patiently wait after tonight and I will certainly make sure we convince him that family vacations are memories forever, you have everyday and years to come to hang out with your friends.

I took this picture while me and Anthony were sitting right next to each other. At one point I guess his friends stopped txting and he wasn't sure what else to do, so he started texting me. "Hey, what are you doing" I'm sitting, what are you doing" Such a goof!

Well, all of the kids are sleeping now. We didn't come in until about 9:30, my neighbor ended up staying for a while and the girls and Alex were playing. I got most of our stuff packed, i'll do the rest in the morning. We are so excited about our vacation, and as always i'll take lots of pictures and post a bunch when we get back!
