There is a deal today that shows 4 DL tickets plus 3 night stay at hotels that look like Good Neighbor hotels with 100 food voucher for 650. There has to be a catch. I know this isn't DL board, but just wondering about Plum District site. It seems to be a deal from America Direct Inc/One Stop Travel. I've priced a few hotels and this is price for a three night stay only for July. Anyone else see this? Purchased from this site?

I've made smaller purchases from Plum District in the past and never had any problems with them.

It looks like you would pay $90 now and then $540 when you actually book your trip.

Not all of the hotels listed are "Good Neighbor" hotels. In fact, a couple of them are a considerable distance from Disneyland. They include:
  • Anaheim Marriott (within walking distance of the parks)
  • Holiday Inn (no indication as to which one, or where it's located)
  • Clarion Anaheim (also withing walking distance)
  • Knott's Berry Farm Hotel (8 miles from Disneyland!)
  • Hyatt Regency Orange County (almost 2 miles from Disneyland, offers a shuttle for a fee)
  • Doubletree by Hilton (again, no indication as to which one or where)
There's the possibility that you could end up at one of those distant hotels as it appears that you don't get to pick your hotel. One Stop Travel also reserves the right to add or delete any hotels from the offer without prior notice.

You also have to pay the "taxes and fees" in addition to your $650. Again, there is no indication as to what those might be or how much they might add up to. Do you end up paying taxes and fees on the whole $1300 value of the package? Just the room? And how much does that involve? Anaheim has a 15% room occupancy tax! The hotels themselves may impose a "resort fee". The FAQ about the deal is not helpful in answering the question.

And again, they don't offer details about the "$100 food voucher". They could be nothing more than coupons for $x off when you spend $Y.

I found the "details" link on Plum District and you can read about the deals here: http://seetheattractions.com/

It might still be a good deal. There are just too many unanswered questions about the final cost of the package and where you might end up staying for my taste. I almost feel as if I could find decent hotel rates and discounted tickets on my own for a similar cost.

Also note that the tickets are 4 one day tickets to a single park. If you can't upgrade them, they may have little value. --Suzanne

Thanks for your replies. I did email them and was told you could choose your first choice and one alternative hotel if the first choice was full and I read that tickets could be upgraded on the FAQ. I don't think I am going to bite on this one still, however. I feel that after taxes it won't be that much difference and I'm leery that I would get my first or second choice hotel. I have bought from Groupon and Living Social. I don't remember ever signing up for this site, but just started getting their specials. I peruse hotel reviews so closely and I'm pretty picky with cleanliness and no bedbugs! LOL!
Thanks again for your info.
