Plug n PLay - Dance Dance Revolution

We have never purchased a Play Station or Game Cube -our kids have never wanted one so we just never did. However, they do like Dance Dance Revolution. It seems so expensive to buy the PlayStation or Game Cube just for that. Also, they are 15 and 18 so who knows how long they would use them (one going to college next year).

I saw they have a Plug and Play version of DDR at the mall. I already purchased a couple of other Plug and Plays for one as they were so inexpensive at Target a few weeks ago.

Anyone have experience with the Plug & Play DDR?

I would like to know too since I actually pruchased this for DD for Christmas. Got it for about $15 after sale and in store coupons.

I know this isn't the answer you are looking for because I don't have DDR. However, I have purchased three other Plug & Play activity type games and have been very impressed with all three. They are all Christmas gifts but we tried them out ahead of time. We have the Star Wars Lightsaber Battle, the snowboarding one and golf. I thought they all worked great and they got you up from the sofa! Based on the three games I bought, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the DDR version. I can't compare the graphics or quality to the PSP's or X-box because we don't own those. Have you checked to see if there is a review of it on Amazon or Epinions?

Thanks for the info...... I did check but there are no reviews for the Plug n' Play dance.

I'd love to get the PlayStation but it does seem pointless at their ages. I think it may get shelved after a few months like The Sims, Oregon Trail, etc. etc.

I don't know about the plug and play, but we have had DDR for a few years and my girls still use it a lot! And I mean a lot! They are almost 13, 16 in 2 weeks and 171/2. They actually use it as their exercise routine. My middle DD lost 20 pounds by doing DDR! And now she runs track and plays soccer and it keeps her stamina up in the off season. The only draw back to the game is they play it up in their bedroom which is above my living room..and the punding on the floor/ceiling drives me nuts!
