Pls help me maximize the rest of our DDP

In general, we ate more than we would have w/o the DDP. Now, if that is because we wouldn't have wanted to spend the money, or because we would've just not have been that hungry.... well, that is hard to tell! I do know we wouldn't have done 2 TS meals... and the tips alone could've bought another meal for us. :0

BUT --- It was my bday weekend, and waving those magic bands did indeed make it feel special! I'm glad we did it once, but wouldn't necessarily opt to do it again.

I always decide the tips are a wash more or less. With the DDP you do not pay tax on your meals. Not CS or TS, so I figure I am even. If I pay OOP I pay tax on snacks, my lunch and dinner, so even though the tip is a little more, I keep that out of my equation.

I think the biggest mistake people make is trying to max the plan. It is no fun eating something that is more money just to get the biggest bang you can.
.

Exactly.

We did one trip without the DDP and I hated it. I hated the feeling that we were hemorrhaging money.

I do love that one TS meal each day. It gives us the time to just sit, and be.

Once that decision is made, for us "maximizing the plan" means getting the ADRs that we'll enjoy the most, and ordering the meals that best suit us at those restaurants. They could give us menus without prices, and I would be perfectly content. The money is spent, and at that point it's all about enjoying ourselves. It's about maximum enjoyment, not dollars and cents at that point.
